I'm still here, trying to establish healthy habits to get rid of this fat.

10 Reasons I Want to Lose Weight...
1. To improve my total health, mentally, physically, spiritually.
2. To look great in clothes I really love.
3. To gain energy for future grand-kids and fun activities.
4. To improve my confidence and self-esteem.
5. To improve a few obesity related ailments I've acquired.

9. To improve my social anxiety from feeling like/being the fattest, ugliest woman everywhere I go.

One of these days I will move to the beach... a place that I daydream about daily... where I can enjoy the sunshine, turquoise water, sea salt breezes and release every stress I've ever felt. The beach is a place to release worries, a respite for a weary working girl, a regeneration of feeling alive.

My FAT history:
Back in March, 2007 when I first joined SP, I was over 200 lbs. I lost a lot, but not to goal, then gained, then lost, then gained and so forth on this crappy roller coaster of weight gain/loss. I have started over here numerous times, eventually I'll get it right and will reach my goal and be freakin' healthy!

My Goals:

Specific weight goals along the way....
199.5 - finally under 200
191 - I go from obese to overweight BMI
158 - I go from overweight to normal BMI
121 to 158 is normal BMI range for 5’7”


My Program:
Food: Combination of Mediterranean and Ketogenic Diets
Drink: Coffee in the mornings, then water (at least 64 oz) until it's acceptable to drink Wine.
Exercise: 20 minutes cardio



Personal Information:
I'm a 54 year old, 5'7" Christian Mom of 4 (ages 28, 25, 23, 19), and wife for 33 years to the best husband in the world (together 36 years), with no grandkids yet. I live in Arkansas and work full time. I love the ocean and beaches, rain, thunderstorms, horror movies, books, daydreaming, coffee, red wine, Halloween, Christmas, giving, fountain pens, stickers, journals, planners, drawing and doodling, coloring, the moon, the sun, nature, cats, rock music, art, the colors of fall, the colors of the ocean, things that are hippy-ish and bohemian, things that are strange, unusual, dark, and a bit odd, and I'm always trying to learn more and more about my physical, mental and spiritual self. I also believe in learning new things (currently trying to learn about astrology) and writing things down... plans, lists, venting, etc.

    Aahhh . . . yes, we’ve finally arrived at our favorite day of the week - Friday! Today’s jokes and cartoons are in honor of National Clean Out Your Refrigerator Day. Who knew there was actually a day set aside to tackle this maligned task! This ties in perfectly with our Sparking, and of course, cleaning out the ol’ frig is a great way to get ready, and make more room there for the big T-Day in just a couple of weeks!
    Time to get our “Friday Happy” on!

    I bought my daughter a refrigerator for her new kitchen remodel. You should have seen her face light up when she opened it!

    I had a rude awakening this morning. Apparently my freezer stopped working during the night, but it’s all just water under the fridge now.

    My grandfather made his fortune in the appliance business. He’s a fridge magnate.

    While I was walking through the kitchen I heard the faint chorus of the song Stayin’ Alive. It was just the chives talkin’.

    If you’re not supposed to eat at night, why is there a light in the refrigerator?

    Gotta go! My refrigerator’s been running, and I really need to catch it!
