I'm Laura, a recent college graduate who fell prey to Starbucks. I gained 15 pounds before my Freshman year had even started, and I never managed to get back down to my original weight.

Update August '09: I'm back, at my highest weight ever. I have a gym membership, and I'm going at least 3Xs a week. I'm committed to not only getting in shape, but to naturally increasing my dopamine levels so that I am happier and more energetic.

Update January '08: I'm trying to get back on the bandwagon. In the last year, I've dipped below my goal weight due to headache medication, and promptly gained it all back (and more). Here we go again.

Update April '07: I have done SparkPeople numerous times. (I have found this site is the only way to successfully lose weight, at least for me. I've tried South Beach and while I like the basic principles behind it, I wasn't disciplined enough.)

My Goals:
I'm trying to lose 15-20 pounds, while gaining muscle. I'm more concerned with achieving aerobic fitness, but I wouldn't mind the weight loss, either.

My Program:
I'm going to the gym at least 3Xs a week, doing step and jazz dance classes. I hope to incorporate strength training in the future.

Personal Information:
I'm originally from Alaska, though I bounced back and forth between AK and CA while growing up. I just graduated from college in Oregon, studying journalism with a focus in advertising. I live with my boyfriend and my cats, Ollie and Maeby.

Other Information:
My favorite movie is Breakfast at Tiffany's.
