2018: (when I joined spark people) Hi! It's a pleasure to be apart of this community! So much inspiration and positivity here. So about me: I used to be heavier than my current weight. I also used to be a workout junky, but haven't worked out for nine months. I created this profile as a way to motivate and inspire myself to get back into the game by connecting with like-minded individuals in the exercise/healthy eating community. ๐Ÿ˜Š Perhaps we can inspire each other. I recently joined the gym again on January 4th, 2018 and it's been going great (so far). I have a lot of goals to work on mainly toning my body, gaining muscle and getting an actual booty! Lol. I've never worn a bathing suit in my life in public. I'd like to gather the body confidence to do so one day... Also, a few interesting facts about me is I am 32 years old, I haven't eaten pork, lamb, chicken or beef in about nine years (only fish/shrimp) and I have a rescue pitbull named Ronnie (aka my child)She's my best friend! ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’— She had a very hard past life where she was abused and found starved in an abandoned warehouse. Ever since we found each other, we have had a bond. She's probably the most important thing in my life... I struggle a lot with self-love and accepting myself as I am. I have had an eating disorder in the past. I have been striving to meditate daily and exercise as I am a recovering addict/alcoholic and it helps with the struggle. I try to stay on a spiritual path and maintain positive thinking. I love to run, bike, hike in nature and I've been getting into strength training as much as I can. I'm also very passionate about yoga!! โ˜ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿ™โ˜ฎ๏ธHighest weight= 130 lbs lowest weight=92 lbs. current w.=106 Update: gym membership ended. (March 9th, 2018)๐Ÿ˜“ Trying to motivate myself with home workouts. ***aim for 30-60 minutes of cardio at least 2 (3) times a week (running/biking), and 20 to 30 minutes of strength work 3 times a week. (barbell with squats, deadlifts, lunges/bodyweight exercises)*** yoga at least once a week (weekends) Year 2019: ~*Update*~ *Learned crow pose in my yoga practice in January 2019. First "advanced" pose. Super proud of myself! ๐Ÿ‘โ˜บ๏ธ Getting more passionate about yoga. Been practicing for almost a year, roughly. *Joined the gym again- February 1st, 2019. The main focus is strength training and toning, still doing cardio, but not as much as 2018. ~*Update*~ Gym membership ended ๐Ÿ˜ข April 30, 2019. My last day was the 28th of April. ~*Update*~ October 2019 started using a treadmill from the thrift store and Smith machine we got for free at home! Year 2020: ~*update*~ In January- 30 day yoga challenge to kick off the year! Finished the yoga challenge and I feel more flexible and less tight and just an over all better feeling within my body. In Febuary- starting a 30 day ab work challenge! March- continuing with abs, focusing on more strength training and more cardio to get ready for nicer weather. Also, continuing with my yoga practice which has been a staple for me since 2018. ***My workout routine*** Monday: ab work, strength training Tuesday: ab work, cardio Wednesday: ab work, strength training Thursday: ab work, cardio Friday: ab work, strength training Strength training= Smith machine workouts, weighted barbell squats with 50 lbs Cardio= walking on incline, running, biking or jump rope Saturday: yoga Sunday: yoga
