    I can certainly relate to that. I like healthy food and want to eat too much of it. I used to end up with 10 pound salads. If I want a lot of stuff in my salad I will not eat a serving of them. I will put in one olive, a radish, a piece of cauliflower, a baby carrot, a couple of cherry tomatoes,a piece of broccoli, a mini pepper, a half a mini cucumber, a part of a green onion, a piece of ham, and then put in some lettuce. I weigh everything. 400 calories for a salad isn't bad if that is all you are having for lunch. I switched to small plates a long time ago. My problem is not what I eat for meals. It is what I eat in between them. If I let myself to get hungry all reason leaves me and I'm like a dog. I come to and realize I should have eaten a low carb yogurt or some peanut butter stuffed celery. They satisfy me and don't trigger my appetite. I do better with nutrient dense foods. Ones that satisfy and are filling - high protein, high fiber. I don't eat enough meat. I'm not crazy about it.
