Retired in 2016 and loving it. I live in Las Vegas. I love reading, my IPad and, when money permits, playing the penny slots.

May 2018
I am embarking on the next leg of my journey to a healthier, thinner me. April was a good month for me because I let go of preconceived expectations of what my journey should be and accepted it for what it was.

I took time to take a look at my plan, to see what needed to be changed or at least tweaked, and to honestly evaluate what I was doing and make sure it was advancing my journey.

I also decided to reset my short term (3 month) goal. I have been in a Plateau for several weeks. Since my loss at the scale has been slow or non-existent, I revised the goal down to 6 pounds over the next 3 months. I wanted to feel that some progress was achieved at this point in the road. Achievable, doable, and even with my recent scale history, possible to obtain.

Not giving up on reaching my weight goal by the end of the year because I still believe it is possible. I’ll just need to focus and work a little harder.

I CAN do this.
