Update: I have not been active on this site since 2011. Started program at 230. Been doing this and that unsuccessfully, but now about 206 pounds. In 8 years. This year, not going to make any promises. Just gonna live. UPDATE: My name is Phyllis and I started the Eat to Live plan on or about August 24, 2011 at about 230 pounds. Following the plan loosely, I have officially lost 60 pounds and I am so happy about that. Non negotiables I have learned along the way: You’ve got to do what you don’t want to do so you can do what you do want to do - Stop the BMW (Bitch, Moan and Whine) - The past is good for only one reason – learning - Ask yourself this question, "is what I’m about to do going to help me achieve my dreahim" Getting enough water improves digestion, helps you feel full and can make your workouts more effective.

My Goals:
I am trying to get to my goal of being 105 lbs. one step at a time-- Trying to find out about my likes and dislikes of life while learning a whole bunch of random stuff along the way. This is about more than just weight loss. It's about learning to enjoy life past food, school and the stigmas of being overweight, single and middle aged.



My Program:
Drink 8- 8 ounce glasses of water daily.

30 minutes of cardio (stationary bike, jump rope, run) alternate with 30 minutes strength (plank, modified push ups, sit ups).

Increase my green vegetables and fruits to 5 servings daily

My name is Phyllis and I am from Washington, D.C. I am 57 years young and I moved to Hyattsville, Maryland to pursue a nursing degree. Finished degree *yay*. Now,living in Baltimore trying to obtain a decent nursing position while waiting on God to present me to a man who is ready to meet his wife.

Weight Stats: Eat to Live Plan

Starting weight: 235 lbs
Current weight : 169.8 lbs
Weight Lost So Far: 60 lbs
Goal weight: 103 lbs
Weight left to go: 66.8 lbs

Was not able to sustain Eat to Live... trying Paleo and medically supervised weight loss.

    Thanks for commenting on my blg! Of course you are welcome to the bracelet idea. I read about the standard charm bracelet, but it wasn't me. Then I saw the European style charm beads and I was hooked. My present for no longer morbidly obese will be a bracelet upgrade to a gold vermeil bracelet. My bracelet reminds me that I am worth the effort and it is a great fidget-something to do with my hands rather than reach for food. i am going to have to check out the Eat to live book. You are doing fabulous! How does Onederland feel?
