I have been a member of this site since the week after my oldest daughter's 1st birthday. She has taught me so much in life already and she is only 5 years old. This month (March) marks my 4 year anniversary here and I have come so far. The thing about it is, losing weight and getting fit is not an overnight fix. I have been working on this goal through 6 years and 2 pregnancies and I am still learning every day.

When I first started working out, it was so hard. I could barely complete 5 minutes on my elliptical. Every day I pushed for 5 more minutes until, eventually 45mins to an hour was a piece of cake. My sweet 5 year old has been such a major influence on my life. If it wasn't for her, I would still be on the wrong path in life.

I used to eat nothing but processed food, soda and barely any water. I always ate on the run and sat at a desk for the majority of my day. Physical activity was work, work that I had no interest in. I had gestational diabetes with my first child. From that point on, I gave up soda and started counting my micro-nutrients.

I am determined not to end up with Type II when I get older. I want to be strong and a good role model for my girls. I want to be happy and fit. Who wants to join me? Lets do this together!

March - 154, I'm back :)

March - I am currently 144 and 25% BF. In a week I will be starting a new lifestyle that I am positive will help me lose the remainder of my weight. It is called the Paleo Diet. I wish I would have found this diet sooner and I cannot wait to start!

September - This was a not so good month diet wise. I ended up gaining instead of losing. I do have a strength training routine now and cardio and I am swearing off bad foods for the whole cheats no cheats no cheats! October HAS to be a better month..after all...Halloween costumes!
My 8/31/11 stats are:
Weight -149 (+ 3)
BF% 26.5 (+.3%)
Waist -29 (+3/8)
Stomach - 36 (+1-1/8)
Hips - 35.5 (-.5) did not take measurement yet
Thigh - 23-6/8 (+ 1-1/8)
Total inches for September - + 2.625 (gained yikes!)

August - It's been awhile since I have updated but I am now 145 and feeling great. 10 more pounds and I will start building muscle. Currently I have lost 72 pounds since my baby was born 11 months ago!
My 8/1/11 Stats are:
Weight - 150
BF% 26.5
Waist - 30
Stomach - 35-6/8
Hips - 36
Thigh - 23

My 8/31/11 stats are:
Weight - 146 (-4lbs)
BF% 26.2 (-.3%)
Waist - 28-5/8 (-1-3/8)
Stomach - 34-7/8 (-1)
Hips - 35.5 (-.5)
Thigh - 22-5/8 (-3/8)
Total inches for August - - 3.25
Apr - finished first cycle of 17 day diet on April 5. Here are the stats so far:
SW 180.5
17day weight 173
7.5 lbs gone, 2% BF drop
BF: 32.3%
Mar -I had surgery this month but I had been staying at 180.5-ish until I bought a book called The 17 day diet. Now I am dropping weight like crazy
3/26/11 - 175.5 I have lost 5 pounds since I started this diet 6 days ago.

Feb - I was MIA from sparkpeople but I was using my fitbit and their site. Was also sick half the month =(

Jan - 180.5! Nov -Dec was rough, my 2 year old was sick most of the time and so was I from caring for her. I am mostly back to normal but she is sick again..gotta love pre-school! I hope to add some of the p90x workouts into my routine soon. I do not plan to go full blown p90x schedule because as a mom of 2 kids under 3, it just doesn't workout for me. A modified version works better for my busy life!

Nov -

Oct - Started p90x and love it! Abs were pretty weak starting out + being post baby but by the end of the month I saw significant improvements. This month has not been great for my relationship with the scale: 189 at the start of p90x and ended the month at 190. I am building muscle. I took my 30 day photos at the end of this month and saw a major difference!

Sept - So far so good this month. 26 lbs total lost so far.
9/15/10 stats:
-191 lbs
-35.8% BF
-29.9 BMI
5.25 inches lost total and 5.25 lbs of actual fat gone!

August -217lbs the morning of: Baby Olivia Arrived on Aug 18th!!!! Dr said I can start exercising again whenever my body feels up to it!
8/25/10 stats:
-202 lbs
-36.6% BF
-31.6 BMI

July - ouch my skin hurts from stretching to the max, hope this baby comes soon! up to 213 now =( I am soo ready to lose weight again!

June - ok I hit the 200 lb mark, 10 weeks left until baby due

May- 196.5 lbs creeping close to that dreaded 200 mark

April - Halfway done baking this honeybun in the oven!
2009 - From here down is my progress in 2008 after baby #1 but before baby #2

6/3/2009 - 162 Yep it was water weight gain as I thought. Im back to the rightful amount I should have been on 6/1

    Found your page through a mutual Spark Friend...I'm 29 weeks pregnant right now with my 2nd and although I've been much healthier this pregnancy, I'm still a bit nervous about AFTER :) Your page and pictures are a great inspiration!

    I've heard about the Paleo Diet and blood type diet. I've never looked into it but I heard people here on Sparks talking about it.

    I want to get back into eating RAW and incorporating a Vegan cooked meal at least 1 a day. I've been thinking of staying away from Gluten just because not that I can't have it but P90X founder says to stay away from it all together.

    I want to get P90X2 and I've purchased Zuzanalight's DVD's she was the founder of but the couple has split and she launched her own website and has her DVD's.

    Her exercises are 12 minutes long but equivalent to 45-1hr of cardio. They are high energy and intense. Let's say Calisthenics like burpies, pushes with some yoga combo floor exercise moves.

    I get even get through (1) 15 minute session t emoticon they kick my butt. I'm still trying to get back into it but something always gets me down. I'm not giving up I only gained 10 lbs. but I have to build up my muscle which is my frustration. I need to change my eating habits back to mostly raw again and then I think I can do it.

    I have some unassigned days at work at the end of March and 1 month in July so I'm hoping that during this month and by July I'll be where I want to be, that's my goal.

    I'll probably be doing P90X and Zuzana light and/or Jillian Michael's DVD's to get back on track.

    I always gain a lot of weight while pregnant and get up into the 200's everytime LOL
    I lose it after, just takes a lot of hard work.
    I have been around 190-205 after every single kid.
    I have noticed it is harder to lose each time for me as well. But I am going to do it, I know it! Looking forward to starting my weight loss journey with you, I am thinking end of April ;) Yeah not too much longer to go!!!
