LIFELONG TRANSFORMATION One Healthy Habit At A Time
~~~ Hi and Welcome to my SparkPage ~~~ My name is Brenda. My sister-in-law introduced me to this incredible community on New Year's Eve 2016. Wanting and needing to make a positive change in my life, I joined January 1, 2017. Life may not be perfect, but I am blessed. Health issues hinder my daily existance. Everyday I strive to alleviate and/or abolish any of them.

My Goals:
I aim to gain control of my weight & ultimately obtain OPTIMAL HEALTH.
I plan to not only reduce, but ELIMINATE at least 100 pounds of unwanted weight. I intend to accomplish this by May 2018.
A few new healthy habits I plan to adopt on this journey are:
~~~ Drink 8-12 cups of water daily
~~~ Eat a small low-glycemic, low calorie, fuel-enhancing meal every 2-3 hours
~~~ Increase daily movement
~~~ Sleep 7-8 hours nightly
Tracking on SparkPeople daily will assist me with attaining these goals. My other helpful resources are water, food, fresh air, and my recumbent bike. I also plan to get a FITBIT.
I endeavor to be comfortable again in my own body.
I venture to want to play a great game of tennis again one day. (It's been over 25 years) Never say never!
UPDATE: 1/3/18 (1/1/18 ~ 1year SparkVersary)
~Got a FITBIT CHARGE 2 ...love it!
~Also got a FITBIT Aria 2 scale....Helpful resources aiding me on my journey!!

I am actively changing my world from an obesigenic existence to a leptogenic life with the aid of OPTAVIA.
Dr. Wayne Scott Andersen has written several books of which I am in the process of reading. The way these books are written are fantastic; very easy to understand and comprehend (a little amusing, too). I met Dr. A September 9, 2017 at a talk he hosted. What a wonderful speaker; he also signed my book!
My sister-in-law is my personal certified OPTAVIA Health Coach; she also happens to be a registered dietitian. She is the same (and only) sister-in-law that introduced me to SPARKPEOPLE. Her support is immeasurable! I thank her for getting me on board with this program. It is changing my life for the better every single day!!
