The Last Dance
Life is long. Sometimes you slay a dragon and declare victory only to find yourself facing that same dragon again. So, what do you do? You put on your helmet, you pick up your sword and you slay that damn dragon all over again!
I lost 70 pounds between 2009 and 2013. I kept off 50 of those pounds for 3 years. Then I had my beloved daughter, lost touch with my positive habits and, well, here I am eight months later, ready to re-slay the dragon.
Why? Because ...
Life is long. Sometimes you slay a dragon and declare victory only to find yourself facing that same dragon again. So, what do you do? You put on your helmet, you pick up your sword and you slay that damn dragon all over again!
I lost 70 pounds between 2009 and 2013. I kept off 50 of those pounds for 3 years. Then I had my beloved daughter, lost touch with my positive habits and, well, here I am eight months later, ready to re-slay the dragon.
Why? Because I miss my old clothes. I miss feeling and looking good. I want to be a healthy role model for my daughter. And I'm done taking my health for granted. I've been very, very, very lucky to avoid obesity related diseases and I would like it to stay that way.
CURRENT GOAL: 18.5 pounds.
Reward for 4.5 pounds: Mani Pedi Done!
Reward for 9 pounds: New hair do Done!
Reward for 13.5 pounds: New sandals Done!
Reward for 18.5 pounds: Facial
MID GOAL: 35 pounds
LONG TERM GOAL: 50 pounds
