Yea, i am going to enlist, b/c in my ingnorance i thought you just needed an associates degree but you need a bachelors degree to become an oficer. so forget that, i would rather just join. So yes i am studying for the asvab. Also i lost 2lbs. doing the special k challenge, i have only been on it 1 day :D so why dont you try that it really works and i havent been excercising or anything. You just replace 2 meals with special k cereal (measuring is the key) i replaced breakfast and dinner, lunch i eat whatever i want. :) also remember to eat two snacks between breakfast and lucnch and lunch and dinner and you will watch the pounds drop off! ;P good luck in that! I know you can do it, i am 28lbs. away from enlisting! woooo

I just attended a PTL course and there wasn't even the hint that the score would be bumped up to 80. And I haven't heard it at all anywhere as even a rumor, so I doubt it is an AF thing. Perhaps your unit will be paying special attention to those below 80.. since there is no more marginal category. Speaking of which, I'm pretty proud of myself today. Took a mock test and actually had a waist measurement that wasn't at the point where every half inch is worth 3 points!

Hi Punk. I'm AF too.... and was on the FIP and BCIP for a little bit. Just passed my PT test this May with a 75 on the dot. With that 75 it at least took some pressure off me and I am taking it as a year reprieve to get to the point where I don't have to panic when my PT test comes around. I definitely can relate. Sparkpeople has been amazing for helping me make a lifestyle change. I started with those Fast Break goals. Keep them, it really is the first step to making those small changes in your life. And while yes, you may be required to attend PT 4-5 times a week now.. it won't make you lose weight, it's the whole package. You have to definitely watch your calorie intake and you have to actually PUSH yourself during PT. I wish you the best of luck and if you ever need an ear, hollar! You can do it.
