Thanks for stopping by my blog.

We have a lot in common, you and I. Athiest? Check. Feminist? Check. Marriage-free zone? Check. Short fat chick to distance runner and cyclist? Check. Live in the antipodes? Check (I'm Aussie, partner is Kiwi). I do, however, have children!

Congratulations on your progress so far. You've done a fabulous job!

I will be adopting as well! I gave in to my now husband on marriage, but I kept my name. I am my own woman!

Thanks for the comment on my blog! I don't know about moving to New Zealand, but I would love to visit! It basically seems like the most beautiful place in the world. I had an aunt who never spent any change and saved up enough money over the course of 20 years to pay for a month-long vacation there for she and my uncle just by throwing quarters and nickels in a jar. I also met a New Zealander at Cambridge who would go to these little gambling dens as a kid and bet on wood lice races. He learned in school that the wood lice are less dormant in the light, so he would always stand with his shadow blocking the other person's critter. He and his little gang finally got kicked out, but it cracks me up that he learned about this in some class! A fine school system! Actually, it must be, because the guy's an econ professor at Cambridge... meh well.

So yes. While I would jump at the chance to move to New Zealand, I don't know exactly if and when that chance would ever arise. Until then I'll start saving my pocket change and eventually we can take a nice long hike together :-)
