Late 2012, early 2013, I was diagnosed with ADHD. It was I that talked to my primary physician who sent me to a psychologist. He did a history, surveys, and computer test that all indicated that I lean that way. They really can't really officially diagnose you like with a blood test or anything like that but they can tell if you have the symptoms.

Anyway, I seem to be at an 'blah' spot. I think more than anything I need a vacation and hope to go on at least a short one in a couple of weeks. Then my daughter starts preschool. I can only imagine what life will be like once that starts.

My story:

April 15, 2002 I joined weight watchers online and in about 18 months I lost approx. 100 lbs.

Then starting in the fall of 2003 until the spring of 2006 my mother and the last three of my grandparents passed away.
In 2005, I even went back to school to study nutrition in order to become a dietition to help others like me. Yet in the fall of 2009 my life changed forever. I found out I was pregnant with my little girl. Then in the spring of 2010 my boyfriend and I got married. Later in the fall of 2011 my father, who had had several health issues since my mother's death, passed away. Now my immediate family pretty much consists of my husband and daughter intermingled with a few other aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws.

In that time and to the present I gained approx. 75 lbs. back. I chalk up the weight gain as life getting the best of me and need to get back on the wagon. I could use all I've been through as an excuse and whine but I know there's no use. I also look at it that I didn't gain ALL of my weight back even though I did gain a LOT of it back.

I know 'what' to do to lose weight (eat less, exercise more) from experience and education so now it's just a matter of doing it. Hopefully I can get back on track in the near future. I hope to use sparkspeople as a support group to help me do this.
