I am 78 yrs. now old and have two children 8 Grandchildren and I have been a widow since 3/26/2008 by my husband of 46+ yrs. I also have 7 great grandchildren. My son and he was my oldest is now deceased and has been since May of 2017, I miss him terribly and wish he was still here, I was not ready for losing him. :(

I still work in a nursing home part time as a housekeeper. As of 5/3/2018 I am no longer employed

I like to crochet and read.go for drives, and shop especially at thrift stores,

New today to read..........Through the years I have learned to hold my tongue or delete emails, texts by asking myself some of those questions in the acronym so I simply wanted to share. I like words and especially words that help me remember things. I also learned at a very young age that sometimes it helps to sleep on my words and then the next day either delete or send but once again, is it true, helpful, necessary, kind? Holidays are difficult for so many people and usually put me in a pensive mood. Mothers day is one of the most painful holidays for so many people. Those who can not have children, those who have lost children through miscarriage or illness, those whose children are out of their lives for too many reasons to list. Those who live with guilt and remorse from bad mothering by themselves or by their own mothers. And next comes Fathers day and that is another long post if I choose to go there! To those of you who were hurting yesterday, today is a new day, put one foot in front of the other, take a deep breath and buy yourself some flowers or get a pretty plant and maybe send a card to yourself and list all the goodness in your heart that goes unnoticed even by you. Save a stamp and put it under your pillow and read it right before bed.

love your info... you aren't far behind me. I finally retired totally August 1, 2019 -- at age 79. I have enjoyed not going to work. Being overweight gave me poor energy and as a nurse, things had changed so much, I didn't enjoy it anymore! Nice to know, I'm not alone on the no vaccine side :) I'm faithful at protective protocol (Vit C, Vit D, Zinc, Quercetin) and I am eliminating all whites (rice, bread, sugar, sweets, etc.) I hope you are able to stay well!! MI is a crazy place :)

Good Morning Rosie - I heard back from Tech support about you emails and this was their response:

"About your member not receiving notifications: There can be several causes for that. You can recommend they check their SparkTeam settings page to make sure they have the box(es) checked for the notifications they want. If they are not receiving any emails from SparkPeople, they can check out this article for help:

If those tips do not help, please ask them to post in this Site/Technical Help message board or email us at support@sparkpeople.com so we can check their account and offer additional assistance."
