Hello! My name is Sarah, I am a social worker from Nelson County, Virginia.

Thank you for visiting my SparkPage. I hope those of you reading it are enjoying your weight loss and lifestyle changing journeys. I wish you all the best, and happiness and fulfillness in your progress.

I joined SparkPeople in May of 2008, and over a period of 8 months, I lost 30 pounds, going from 189 to 159 lbs. (applause). I graudated with my undergraduate social work degree in December 2008, and sadly, began a gradual decline into stress, uncertainty, and eventually weight gain as I entered the life of a new grad with no work prospects. I have since gained back 17 lbs!

But now, it's October 2009, and I finally found my social work job at last, right here in my own county. The time has come to turn over a new I once did so successfully before. I know I can do it! I've been gone from SparkPeople a long time, but now I am back, and ready to reach my original weight goal of 147 lbs.

May 2008 start weight: 189 lbs
June 2008 start weight: 182 lbs
July 2008 start weight: 178 lbs
August 2008 start weight: 172 lbs
September 2008 start weight: 168 lbs
October 2008 start weight: 164 lbs
November 2008 start weight: 162 lbs
December 2008 start weight: 160 lbs
January 2009 start weight: 159 lbs
February 2009 start weight: 160 lbs
March 2009 start weight: 160 lbs
March 2009 through September 2009: Gained back 16 lbs, absent from SparkPeople! Oh no!
October 2009: 176 lbs, ready to get back on track!

170 pounds (5 lbs lost): Buy new Tae Kwon Do uniform

My Goals:
To weigh 147 lbs.

Achieving a normal weight range, eating healthy food, and staying fit with exercise.

My Program:
I follow the SparkDiet and strive every day to improve upon the lifestyle changes I have made.

I go to Tae Kwon Do classes two times a week, weight lifting and cardio in a gym twice a week.

I am also drinking more water, eating at least five fruits and vegetables a day, and eating healthier foods.

Personal Information:
My name is Sarah, I live in Nelson County, Virginia, and I am a graduate of James Madison University. I am a Child Protective Services social worker for the Nelson County Department of Social Services.

Other Information:
I have five cats and a boyfriend of six years. I love reading, Tae Kwon Do, riding my motorcycle, and snowboarding. I am currently a red belt in Tae Kwon Do.

    What an accomplishment to take the weight off like you have! Kudos to you! I am hoping that you are able to meet your goal......will be checking back to see how you've progressed.
