I reached my highest weight of 262 lbs in January of 2011. I knew I had to change something. Over the course of the past year I have made slow changes to my life. I'm still trying to figure out what works for me. I still struggle with eating healthy and in moderation.

I have started the weight loss journey several times. I have always focused on the weight loss when I should have focused on making a lifestyle change. This isn't about getting to goal weight and being done. It's about making changes I can stick with the rest of my life. Becoming active and participating in life instead of watching life pass me by, wishing I could do this or that. I'm done sitting on the side watching everyone else have fun. I'm learning that I am stronger than I ever thought, that I am capable of doing things I never believed I could. I am learning to believe in myself, trust myself, to push past barriers that only exist because I built them. I will reach my goal weight, but it's more than that. I will learn who I am and what I am capable of on the way.

I started the C25K program in January 2012. I never thought I could run. On March 17, 2012 I ran my first 5k in 39:21. I am continuing to sign up for more races. My husband has started running with me. We are starting to work together to live a healthier life.

    Hi Errica! Well, I am a horrible Spark Friend! I have been meaning to get back on your page and leave you a message, but it's been a little crazy around my place! Sorry...

    Great job on your 60lb loss! That is sooo fantastic!! Do you go to the Y, or do you just workout on your own from home, walking, ect.? I have a membership to the Y, but I absolutely HATE going by myself, although I have. I work third shift, so I have open days. Not sure what hours you work, if you do, or if you are a stay-at-home mommy, but my days are usually pretty uneventful. So, if you want to meet up there sometime, let me know! :)
