I started this program well over a year ago. I went from a size 14 to a size 4 in pants and lost over 40 lbs. I'm quite proud of that and thankful to Sparkpeople for helping me along the way. In May I was in a car accident and unfortunetly used it as a excuse to fall back into some bad habits, ie- not excercising as much, eating crap and not sticking to the "plan" overall! So now I'm back with a new attitude and ready to make the final push, lose the rest of the weight and the last few bad habits. That means eating clean and working out 6 days a week. I want to be a good example for my children so they grow up with good eating and exercising habits. And most importantly I want to be here for them and my husband for a long time to come.

05/10/08 - UPDATE - Wow! I just re-read my introduction and thought, "Man have I come a long way since I wrote that". So I think it's a good idea to write a new Intro. I'm in the zone...working my plan and feeling great. I'm very close to my goal weight and eating clean and working out has never been better. I'm really enjoying my life and I sometimes can't believe that I have athlete, yah that's right that's what I am an athlete...I'm athletic...I'm getting stronger with every lat pull, every reverse crunch, every leg press, every HIIT session and it feels good. Don't get me wrong I still have some bad days here and there. You know the ones, where you just want to stay in bed...don't want to even think about entering the gym, want to eat an entire cheesecake kind of day? Sometimes I get through unscathed and other times I fall flat on my face but I persevere and that really is what it's all's not the destination that counts it's the journey and I'm planning one hell of a ride!!!

Fitness Minutes: 3,700

My Goals:
1: Get body fat below 20%

2: 6wk plan (1250-1300cals), 4 days weight work, 6 days cardio - then yet another pic of me in bikini - :) Now onto 2nd 6wk plan!!! YIPPEE!

4: Work on my HIIT (build up to 5mins/2mins intervals), now doing 3mins/2mins.

5: Get evaluated at gym (assess fitness/strength level) - Bit nervous about this!

6: Hire Personal Trainer (Dependant on how my own plan is going) - Get 2 session with membership, yippee!

7: Learn to Snowboard (Winter Dec '08 - Feb '09)

8: Achieve a Rockin' Body - September 5th, 2009 (When I turn 40!)


#1 - "New Bikini" - 5mnth anniversary of new plan(bought)

#2 - "Day at the Spa" - Manicure, pedicure, massage, facial, body wrap - 7mnth anniversary of new plan (end of August)

#3 - Year Anniversary - Tattoo.

#4 - Trip to Paris with Hubby - 10 year Anniversary (Sep. 30/2010)

My Program:
Monday - AM: 20mins - HIIT Stationary Bike
PM: 10mins (treadmill), bicep curls, lat pulls, rowing pulls, pull-ups, leg press, squats with weights, leg lift extensions, calf lifts (all till muscle exhaustion)

Tuesday - 30 mins treadmill - HIIT + (core work)

Wednesday - AM: 30mins - Moderate Stationary Bike
PM: 10mins (treadmill), bicep curls, overhead press, chest flys, push ups with ball, squats with weights, back extensions, leg lift extensions, hip extensions (all till muscle exhaustion)

Thursday - 30 mins rowing - HIIT + (core work)

Friday - AM: 20mins - HIIT - Stationary Bike
PM: 10mins (treadmill), lateral raises, lat pulls, chest press, rowing pulls, leg lifts, calf lifts, leg presses, squats with weights

Saturday - 30 mins - Moderate Stationary Bike

Sunday - REST!!!

Personal Information:
I've been married for 7 years to the love of my life - James. I have 2 beautiful children, Sebastien - 5 and Isabelle - 2. I live in Ontario, Canada and am looking forward to feeling and looking better.

Other Information:
I work in TV - I'm a program planner for a National Sports Network in Toronto.
