Here's what I can say about what I do:
I haven't been logging my food here on spark lately. I keep a tablet on my kitchen counter and go from there. First thing i did was to list all the healthy foods i like, have in stock, etc. Broken down by category, protein veggie, fruit, etc. and then put the calories next to it by serving size. Kinda like a spreadsheet with each day having a column of its own. and as you go thru the day you make a note of the food and cals, and this lets you do a quick tally on what you've eaten and what you have left for the day, calorie-wise.
I eat tons of fruit and veggies. the only 'hard carb' I eat is my Sara lee delightful wheat bread (45 cal a slice), except for the wheat bread on my subway sandwhiches, which i do often too. I already know the cals and its easy way to eat out and not have to stress on where to go.

In the last two weeks i've done more exercise then I did all of last year. I pretty much lost the first 50 pounds with food control and being a little more active. Now i've kicked it up a notch exercise-wise and have lost another 15.

Hey girlie!! I am soooo happy to hear from you. I have made steady progress but it has not been easy. Not at all. I think what has kept me going is constant exercise. If I didn't go to the gym I probably would have flaked out myself. I am cheap that way..pay and get your money's worth. I have lost 28 pounds so far and feel much better but still realize that I am light years away from success. But I am trying. It is a constant battle, that's for sure. It is 80 degrees today and windy. I want some COLD weather. (smile) Hope to hear from you soon. Welcome Back!!

Welcome back! I missed you. Yep, can't believe i'm in the 40's now, seems impossible, especially starting out at over 300 pounds. I have a little under 100 (or 100 would be cool too) left, so I'm right there with you and if we stick to it, we WILL get there! Glad you logged on! Michele 4851 days ago
