Don't wanna be a sideline mom!


My name is Andi, I retired after 22 years in the military (Army and National Guard), I'm a 911/police/fire dispatcher, and a single mom of 3 teens, 2 dogs and 2 cats.

After a major setback in life, I am ready to get on with my life. Making small changes, a little at a time.

My Goals:
Get off high Blood pressure meds.

Get off blood sugar meds.



My Program:
 TRACKING my food.

Cutting sugary foods (no sodas and only 1 floofy coffee per week).

Green Strength workouts 2-3 times per week.

Activities to try and keep it interesting:

* Strength Training

* Zumba

* Pool exercise

    Hey Andi..it sounds like you are doing so well. I wish you luck in training. I can't do the one spoonful of desert as yet. I will lapse into eating more than I should.     Welcome. You picked a great group as they are so caring and we all cheer each other on. I lost 3 lbs this week which proves that we can do this. Your daughter is beautiful. Do this so that you can play with her grandkids. I envy you in the snow as I live in the Bahamas and have never seen snow before in my life. (I like the cold because it is always hot here).

    Been doing good myself! could be better on exercise...but it'll get there!
    It started to cool down today, still hot, but not as bad as it has been.
    I too love olive garden, there is one here, but the service is usually so bad here that i'm not compelled to go that often! thank god for that!
    I made an italian chicken pasta tonite, so i kinda made my own olive garden in the kitchen tonite. it was very good. I posted the recipe if you ever want to try it.

    glad to hear all is well. what team did you get on for the BL Challenge? I'm purple.

    Hi Andi,
    I wish you luck in reaching your weight loss goals. I finally meet someone else on hear that dispatches for police/fire/ems and I am thrilled about that. It is not alot of people who can deal with that type of job. I currently work 12hours and trying to diet working those hours is very hard sometimes. I mainly make my lunch for the whole week, that is the only thing that keeps me going. Okay I will add you as a friend and keep in touch, by the way your daughter is beautiful.
