I have figured out the secret y'all!

Just show up for yourself and make healthier choices. And the key is to just keep doing it over and over again. Keep motivating yourself and making your healthy lifestyle a priority.
I want to reward my body with healthy nutrition MOST of the time. And I want an active life where I enjoy exercising and becoming stronger. I want to continue feeling proud of myself for taking good care of myself and my family. Something has clicked and I've discovered I REALLY CAN DO THIS!!! I AM DOING THIS! And so can YOU!

You said that you struggle with the weekends and need to be more diligent about carrying through with the same dedication as you do during the week.

I’m retired now but when I was working I needed a separate plan for weekends that was completely different from weekdays.

I like to be spontaneous at times so I figured out the counts for several different restaurant meals that could work for me. Cobb salad, breakfast items for dinner, seafood entree, steak, grilled chicken can all work if you plan ahead. When we’d choose where to go I’d always suggest two places I could easily make work.

Just read through your comments on my page.
    Thanks for stopping by.
Thanksgiving is not a big deal to me. Neither is eating to tell the truth. But I think you are doing good to be thinking about it so far ahead. That way you can make a plan for yourself and be prepared to handle those pies and goodies as they come at you. Or rather, as you hover around them. Maybe take a nice photo of you at your heaviest and now and frame them and put them on the table, so when you are at the table you can see your before and after and show how far you have come.
I love the idea of educating your husband and son on your lifestyle change and what healthy changes they can make as well. It is SO much easier if you have that support at home. By the way, from your pics, they do look loving and supportive. I have thought that before when looking at some of the pics with you and your husband together.
You inspire me with the amount of weight you have already lost. I am glad to get to know you. emoticon
