Hi there. One of the BEST tools on this website is the food tracker. I use it faithfully, every single day. It helps keep me accountable and it really is an eye-opener to see what you actually eat each day. I also keep a manual food journal in which I also write down my food each day and I use it to record my weigh-ins and measurements and any changes I might make along the way and sometimes I write in it if I'm having a particularly tough time.

For the holidays I would suggest that you sort of mentally plan ahead to your holiday meal, have an idea of what you're going to eat and how many calories you may consume at that special meal. Have what you want but remember to have it in moderation and make changes where you can. For example, if you really want the potatoes, maybe you could skip the gravy. And instead of trying all the desserts, maybe just pick your favorite and have a small serving of it. And cut calories where you can, like maybe skip the soda and have water instead. Load up on the veggies and healthier stuff first and maybe you won't even want the bad stuff. lol!! And my #1 piece of advice, don't stress over it. If you overdo on the Christmas dinner, just get back up the next day and start over. Don't beat yourself up if you have a day that you go over your limit, it happens to all of us. Just get back up and do better the next day. :)

Using the food tracker every day will help you get used to knowing how many calories are in a serving and will help you stay on course. I know some people stopped using the food tracker after they'd been doing this for a few months but I still use it every day. I'm afraid I would slip back to old habits too quickly if I didn't make myself use that food tracker daily and keep holding myself accountable for what I'm eating.

I'm so proud of you for making 'you' a priority and I'm glad to help along the way any way that I can.

Hi there! I just wanted to come by and say 'have a great week' and stick with your plan, you have already made such great progress. I'm so proud of you. If you hit a rough patch, just look around this site and get inspiration and motivation from wherever you can; that's what I try to do. Visiting sparkpages allows me to find a lot of it, plus you can meet great new friends in the process.

    You have a great smile!
