Introduction Text I am a 55 year old female that had tried every diet and exercise program there is and could not get the weight off or keep the little bit I would lose off. I finally gave in and had gastric bypass surgery on June 14, 2010 and I have to say it was the best thing I have ever done for myself! I feel alive again! Words can not describe what a difference my life is now. For the first time in years I have the energy to exercise and don't have to shop in the plus size department!!! I am off one of my blood pressure meds, the most expensive one, and cut one of them in half and the other one only occasionally do I need half a tablet. I have quit using my cpap because the pressure is too high now and I go for another sleep study in a couple of weeks, may not ever need it again! People treat me with more respect now, I'm not overlooked any more either! Anyone considering this surgery and is scared like I was should know it's worth the risk! Do your research and make sure you find a great Dr. like I did. The first couple of months were hard and it was painful, but it is so worth it!!! I would do it again in a heart beat!

Lose 15-20 pounds by the end of May 010. Only lost 10. Have gastric bypass surgery. Done! Exercise regularly. Getting there! starting over, was there then had to quit due to hurt foot. Be a normal size person. Done! No more plus sizes!!! Have enough energy to get me through the day. Done!! Get off the CPAP. Done, at least until i have another study and get my pressure lowered. Done! Have a life! Done!

I had Roux en Y gastric bypass surgery on June 14, 2010! I am on a regular high protein low carb diet, just eat a whole lot less!
