My name is Amanda and I am 30 years old! I have lost and gained 100's of lbs over the years, and although it may not be any different now, I have a different, better, reason.
I want to be a mom. In order to BE a mom I have to lose weight and get healthy. My husband and I have been TTC for a year now and with one loss and no other success it's been a long road. And, I am impatient. I want things to happen NOW or not at all. If I don't lose weight immediately I think I have failed, same thing with getting pregnant, I feel like I have failed since I haven't gotten pregnant yet. I know logically stuff doesn't happen immediately, but that doesn't mean I don't want it to!
I don't know how much I weigh and for right now I want that to remain a mystery. When I focus on numbers I freak out, so until my Dr's appointment in july I will be scale free.
I am taking this one day at a time, small changes. Working on eating slower, smaller portions and more working out.
And if I get pregnant *I hate to say when because right now I feel like there is no when* I will continue eating healthy and trying to do safe exercises.
I want to be a healthy wife, mom, auntie, sister, daughter and of be healthy for myself. I am ready to stop making excuses.

My Goals:
To do activity 5 to 6 days a week
allow myself rest time and not feel guilty
To push myself to do more everyday
I would love to RUN, so I want to gradually build up to running for longer periods of time
To not let the scale rule me
To be confident no matter what, as I have come so far and I will not let anything take that away from me.

My Program:
Making healthy choices
Eating 3 small meals and 2 snacks a day
Allow myself dessert *even though it's 100 calorie it's still dessert*
Exercise 5 to 6 days a week for at LEAST an hour at a time.
Tone my muscles in group power classes.

Personal Information:
Amanda aged 28 years.
I am a gemini, and I have been married for 4 years to my soulmate.
I have an older sister and an older step brother.
I have 3 nephews and one niece.
I also have 4 cats, and consider myself to be an animal lover.
NO kids yet though!
I work with the developmentally disabled and I think it's the best job ever!
I live in wisconsin. That is about it, as I have said quite a bit in my introduction.

Other Information:
I feel like I am an interesting person. I love crows, I love heavy metal music, I love funky colors in my hair, orange is my favorite color. I LOVE to read, and I am always willing to try new authors, but not so much romance. I love horror movies and action thriller movies.
I love shopping, and have an addiction to purses with lots of hardware on them! If one word could describe me, it would be unique....and that's because that's what my mom says to me all the time.
Not sure if it's a compliment, but I'll take it!
