I am starting a new chapter in my Spark journey. Thanks to Spark, I have more structure in my life. I have the tools to move forward with the consistency I will need to reach all of my goals.
Although the challenges I face are major, I have confidence that I can use my energy, intelligence and experience to achieve the great measures of simplicity, security, peace and love that I seek.

My Goals:
My goals are to be a healthier weight. This will not only reduce the stress on my joints but will increase my self-confidence to succeed in the personal and professional areas of my life.

As I move along I know that I have to maintain my sense of urgency and my vision of how I will look and feel when I have reached my goals.


My Program:
I am achieving a balance between structure with accountability and flexibility.

Building in rest, relaxation, and recreation are the oil that will lubricate the stress caused by my health/fitness and financial goals and my reinvention of my attitudes.



Personal Information:
I am a life-long resident of Brooklyn, NY. I started my own business, about four years ago and have the best job in existence--I am a Certified Image Consultant/ Fashion Stylist/Makeup Artist and have fulfilled one of my dreams--dressing models back stage in the tents in tents in Bryant Park.



I also teach kids at Wagner College on Staten Island--in one class I edit a magazine we call Fashion Trends. The kids write articles and are "models"--all heights, weights, fashion sensibilities. In another I teach etiquette. I am now going to do an adult class teaching women how to optimize the wardrobes in their own closets to enhance their life goals.

I am also putting together a series of private seminars to teach techniques for being your most Sleek, Chic and Sophisticated Self.



Prior to this, I ran an out-patient mental health program for seniors for almost 20 years. I received my Masters in Social Work from NYU when I was abo

I have a 21-year-old son who is a senior in college. I am so proud of him!

    Get up and get to that BOOT CAMP, Girl!! Once you get started, you are going to love it! You can do it!!! emoticon Nothing to it!!! emoticon

    Skip the cardio if your arm is still bothering you and just stick to the daily videos they post. They are EASY and short and may even give you the jumpstart to actually make you WANT to do that extra 30 mins of cardio.

    Go to the boot camp team page and scroll all the way down to wear you see "Daily Workouts and Challenges Forum" That's where you will go EVERYDAY to see the new challenge for each day. Right now they have posted Days 1, 2, and 3, challenges. But they will have day 4 up soon because she said she would post the challenges one day in advance. There will be a different video for EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK. Then you have to add 30 mins of cardio to the daily workout each WEEK DAY. Also in that section she has posted a "7 day workout overview" just for information. Check it out. You should watch the videos and just see if you think you could go ahead and do them without harming your finger. Yesterday's 8 min workout on the lower body with the stability ball wasn't too intense at all. You may be able to tackle it. Let me know when you get started :)

    Hi, Merry! HAPPY NEW YEAR! Sounds like yours is starting off as a bit of a bummer spending time in Emergent Care! Too bad you had to miss day one of the Boot Camp. How is your arm? Didn't you injure it too?
    Day one for me went pretty well. I did the 10 minute cardio video and then added a 30 minute P90 Sculpt workout just for some strength training. I am excited for day 2. I am going to go to WalMart and get an exercise ball because I don't have one and I saw that today's BootCamp video requires one. I can't decide what I am going to use for my 30 mins of cardio. I used to have Turbo Jam dvds.... and I think I might hunt for them. If I don't find them then I will just do the P90 Sweat Cardio again today. A friend of mine has Hip Hop Abs... and I am thinking about having her bring that over one day this week to try it out./
