Since this is a new year, I thought it would be a good time to update my page! Welcome! I love this page! It's a place that gives me the opportunity to meet Sparkers who, like me, are changing their lives one day at a time. A place for me to receive the motivation and encouragement I need to keep going on my journey. A place that encourages me to motivate others to reach their goals. I hope this page is as inspirational to you as it is to me! Please come back often to visit!

A little info about me....my name is Laura. I am 62 years young, a wife, mother and grandmother. My hobbies are gardening, jewelry making crocheting and jigsaw puzzles. I love nature and enjoy spending as much time as possible outdoors. I also love animals and am "mom" to a 6 yr old Tibetan Spaniel and a 7 year old Bengal/Tabby cat.

The following poem about success is a favorite of mine so I thought I would share it.

Success is not a race, be patient.
Success leads to success.
Success is always a work in progress.
Success doesn't come to you--you go to it.
Success is a journey, not a destination. Focus on the process.
Some people dream about success... while others wake up and work hard at it.
Success is achieved and maintained by those who try-and keep trying.
Everyday is a good day to SUCCEED!
If at first you don't succeed-try, try again

My Goals:
1) 4-8 glasses of water.
2) 3 healthy meals
3) Stay within my daily WW points.
4) Track all foods
5) Track fitness
6) Walk 5,000 to 10,000 steps each day.

My Program:
Keep a daily diary. Be honest and accountable for each day's events. Track everything I eat and watch my portion sizes. Concentrate on eating more veggies and fruits and drink more water. Set small, realistic goals then work to achieve and build on them. Always remember that "My life tomorrow will be the result of my attitudes and the choices I make today."

Personal Information:
In Oct 2011 my husband retired after putting in 30 years as a firefighter/EMT. We decided we needed a change so we sold our house on the Massachusetts seacoast and moved inland where we bought a house in a small rural town in the Berkshires. We love it here. Life moves slower and we are surrounded by beautiful scenery and lots of wildlife.

Other Information:
"Our lives improve only when we take chances... and the first and most difficult risk we can take is to be honest with ourselves." ~ Walter Anderson

Keep your eyes open...keep your heart open too.
You never know who you're going to meet
and what they will mean to you.

    A positive attitude
may not solve all your problems,
but it will annoy enough people
to make it worth the effort.

Easter is a time of love, of loved ones, peace. and prayer.
It is a time when we say a quiet thanks. for all that we have
and for all that the future holds.
Easter is a feeling in our hearts of hope and faith and trust.
And it is a time for remembering with love and appreciation for
all the people who make a difference in our lives...people like you.

~~ emoticon FIVE LITTLE EASTER EGGS emoticon ~~

emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
Five little Easter eggs, I wish there were more
Mommy ate the blue one, then there were four.
    emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
Four little Easter eggs, two and two you see,
Daddy ate the green one, then there were three.
    emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
Three little Easter eggs, before I knew.
My sister ate the yellow one, then there were two.
    emoticon emoticon emoticon
Two little Easter eggs, oh what fun.
My brother ate the purple one, then there was one.
    emoticon emoticon emoticon
One little Easter egg..at least they left me one
I ate the pink one, and then there was none.
