Fitness Minutes: 1,209

My Goals:
To lose the weight that's been slowly creeping up on me as well as gain energy and strength.

My Program:
 1. Eat mainly healthy foods (organic if possible).

2. Allow myself to occasionally eat some of my not-so-healthy favorites (pizza, candy, etc.) but practice portion control.

3. Be active for 30 minutes 4-5 days a week

 Huge Harry Potter geek, love classic rock, art, reading, nature and napping :)

    yep, and we can overcome this, we're a lot stronger than we think, and definitely a lot stronger than food and that desire for it. I mean what do we need food for. Yes, for survival, but that's only a small amount of it. We need other people, who will help us get through this path towards good health. It's that good health that helps us survive a lot more than food.

    If we have that near perfect balance of food and health, think of how good we'll feel.

    Instead of grabbing a candybar, or something unhealthy, pick up a book, a piece of fruit, veggie, or heck, even the keys and go for a drive and look at the beauty that's around us, or go visit a friend. Wouldn't that be great?

    So much more we can do than indulge our bad desires, so let's get out there and do something constructive instead of destructive, and move ourselves into that healthy mode. We can do this, together, I know we can! emoticon

    I used to live in Oshkosh too for a few years (When I was young and childless.. lol!

    I grew up in Green Lake, but got a job in Appleton a while back so then I moved to Oshkosh. After meeting my husband who lived in Appleton I moved up to Appleton. This is a little too north for me right now.. I really like the company that I work for so I'll be here for a while, but we don't own our home so I don't really feel tied to any city. I spent so much of my youth in Fondy since it was the closest mall my mom would let me go to. And my sister is looking to buy in Fondy. I bet we know some of the same people.. My sis is shaving her head for St. Baldricks in March so we'll be there for that!
