When I started Sparking I said "Already lost 42lbs..take 10lbs at a time. Pre-diabetic and don't plan on getting diabetes. Appreciate food choice suggestions and particular products by name brand."

Since then I lost a total of 96 lbs and I am now in the normal blood sugar ranges and no longer considered pre-diabetic, however I still stay with the low carb, low glycemic foods and I have maintained my weight also without much fuss.

About 6 months ago my cholesterol was 240 and within 6 months I brought it down 51 points naturally. It is now 189. I had to since I get severe cramps from Cholesterol meds.

I am glad to help anyone who asks for my help!

Its now 2014, I lost another 5lbs last year and I maintain by logging my foods daily, my glucose levels are fine and I log to watch my cholesterol levels daily. It is all still working well. Feeling Great.

Update: my cholesterol is now 181 and the HDL is 51...so I'm good and life is wonderful!

...yipee...will continue to watch carbs, starch and sodium and move every 20 minutes.

Update: 2017- I continue to educate myself and others with daily posts. I continue to log my foods, starch & cholesterol and watch the charts on Spark people. My A1C is a steady 5.5...maintaining my weight as well....yipee!

Those trapped in the snare of Trumpism don't see the deception that encompasses them.

He now fired Sondland, Colonel Vidman and Vindmans brother just like Putin got rid of people who were against him. We are now on our way to a Trump dictatorship. Trump has shown every sign of wanting unlimited powers. Dictators demonize those who are in opposition with them.

The Guardian reported....Trump muses out loud about being president for life, saying it would be “great”. He’s indicated often that he would not accept the outcome of an election he lost. He’s threatened to jail his political opponents. He has the despot’s attitude to the truth – lying routinely, even about trivial matters, partly to demonstrate power. So great is his sway over his devotees, he can make them believe even what is provably false. His disregard for the rule of law is also that of the autocrat. His aides simply ignore subpoenas to appear before Congress.

Beware Americans, don't take your freedom for grated.

How’s that (in)famous Trumponian border wall going, you ask?

    Swimmingly!

NBC affiliate KYMA reports that a 130-foot section of Trump’s newly built wall has fallen over into a tree-lined street in Mexicali, Baja California.

The good news is that there were no injuries.

Nothing demonstrates Trump’s guilt more powerfully than his attempt to obstruct Congress and stop any of his staff from testifying during the Senate trial. That is just common sense.

Moscow Mitch made major changes to the trial rules to hide the truth and tilt the playing field in Trump’s favor. He is aiding and abetting the cover-up of Trump’s misconduct and his corruption.

Donald Trump just went on TV and said that he’s targeting cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.
The truth is, Social Security and Medicare are my earned benefits. Now the frigger wants to take them away and make my life and your life harder.

What have been the incredible benefits of Donald Trump's first term as President of the United States?

If you are a comedian, he is an endless source of jokes, keep laughing.
If you enjoy Trump's tariff's that have made things more expensive for Americans, applaud him.
If you are a foreign leader, he is easy to take advantage of.
If you are a member of the American Nazi Party or the Ku Klux Klan, he has normalized your membership.
If you want more Americans to die, he has made sure that will happen.
If you hate having clean water and clean air, Trump’s helped you out.

If you want a dictator, he is your man

If you love someone who cheats and steals, he is your man

If you enjoy someone who makes a mockery of our constitution, he is your man

RUSSIAN state TV has branded President Donald Trump an "agent" after a White House meeting with their top foreign diplomat.

Trump does not care about clean air.....
Trump does not care one way or the other about clean air. Now if someone were to build a coal-fired electricity plant upwind of one of his golf courses, he would sue them for millions of dollars and try to destroy the career of whoever permitted the coal project to go forward. Because that would affect him and his property and his prestige and his ability to get money. He would be all over them on how it was doing damage to his golf greens and how the soot was getting on the cars of his clients. Trump has Republican supporters who are funded by coal, petroleum and other industries that have been regulated in order to reduce toxic and harmful emissions in the air, so naturally that is why he is deregulating.

Yep, clean air, clean water, public lands, food stamps, public housing, whatever may benefit the population of our country he is opposed to.

Based on research from Harvard Law School, Columbia Law School and other sources, they count more than 90 environmental rules and regulations rolled back under Mr. Trump. Breathe deep and suck in all the greenhouse gas and carbon emissions.

Trump permitted the use of seismic air guns for gas and oil exploration in the Atlantic Ocean. The practice, which can kill marine life and disrupt fisheries.

Trump rejected a proposed ban on chlorpyrifos, a pesticide linked to developmental disabilities in children. Also revoked a rule that prevented coal companies from dumping mining debris into local streams.

Trump forbade all of the witnesses called by congress to testify. Every single one. Muvaney, Pompeo, Perry, all of them. He also blocked the release of all documents requested. As a co-equal branch of government Congress has a right to both under oversight. By blocking both, Trump abused his power and obstructed Congress. He did it in plain sight. Both are impeachable offenses. End of story.

Why would he do that if he had nothing to hide? Why would he block his taxes from being released if he had nothing to hide?

What happened to the good Republican's morals, ethics, principles and values?
Since Trump took office, his administration has pushed forward rules that hack away at critical civil rights protections. Now it's taking aim at a broad range of government-funded healthcare and social services programs millions of people depend on.

Mexican smugglers have cut through new portions of President Trump's border wall along the southern border using a reciprocating saw that can be purchased at hardware stores for as little as $100. Trump boasted to crowds about the superlative properties of the barrier, calling it “virtually impenetrable” and likening the structure to a “Rolls-Royce” that border-crossers cannot get over, under or through. The nearly $10 billion project, paid for with taxpayer money, has completed only 76 miles so far.
