Hi I'm 47, I have 2 boys ages 22 and 19, 2 KATS and a border collie named Ben.

I'm Diabetic, Hypertensive and have arthritis in both hips. I've had two back surgeries. Most of my medical problems can be attributed to my weight. So I'm on a journey to feel better... to boldly go where I haven't been in a very long time!

My mantras along the way are:

Grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change
Courage to change the things I can and the
Wisdom to know the difference.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming ~ WOO HOO what a ride!"


When you’ve eaten too much and you can’t write it down,
And you feel like the biggest failure in town.
When you want to give up just because you gave in,
And forget all about being healthy and thin.
So What! You went over your points just a bit,

My Goals:
My goals are to loose enough weight that I can reduce my diabetes medications, and so that the arthritis in my hips and back don't hurt as much!

My Program:
I truelly believe that keeping track of everything is the best way to loose..... so I'm going to track... before I started this program I had a spreadsheet going, I tend to not track all the time....

Another goal is to start moving again... PT excercises, the stationary bike, walk a block with Ben, go back to the pool
