Face the truth. ~Katherine Mansfield I am doing the hardest thing on earth for me - taking a break from all the expectations I place on myself and that others place on me. I am taking the time I need to heal. I am focusing on learning how to let go and forgive. I am not losing weight so that I can love myself. I am learning to love myself. Right now. Exactly as I am. I expect that when I release my pain, I will release the unhealthy habits that brought me to this place and will lose the weight as a natural consequence. Each healthy decision is an act of kindness towards myself.

Above everything else, I try each day, each moment, to make the healthiest choices I can for myself. I had RYN surgery Feb 2016 & am learning how to eat healthy on a bariatric diet. I do body weight exercises for ST and walk for cardio. I also compete in monthly horse agility competitions and ride 2-3 times per week.

I'm 48 years old, happily married with a grown son & two grown step-children. I'm an Island Girl - Vancouver Island - with access to some of the best outdoor recreation in the world.
