No worries, I had a busy weekend too. Went to a costumed open mic night Friday (and ate well there while winning first place for my care bear costume, though I stopped and got skyline chili cheese fries, two cheese coneys AND a mountain dew later ), then went to another Halloween party Saturday night and drank/ate way too much. Sunday, I didn't do badly, but I didn't eat any nutrient dense food.
But today, thank goodness for today. I worked out tonight, and did some of the bathroom pushups earlier today. I think I'm going to try to go to a zumba class tomorrow night at my gym, though I am starting to agree with you that working out at home alone seems much more enticing. I don't know why I never thought of using the internet to look for videos! That seriously is a major oversight on my part, lol, thinking I had to have a physical dvd to play on the tv as if I don't know how to use a computer!
I'm going to look into the bands and the extreme thing you're talking about. SOunds interesting. Thanks for the info!
What is your son being for Halloween? I hope you guys have lots of fun and share the spoils with daddy!

The bathroom pushups is a really great idea! I'm going to start doing that! And I'm going to start doing a beginner's strength training program from SP at my gym using their equipment. I've never used a resistance band before. Was it difficult to learn proper form using one? Are there different kinds? I think I'd like to look in to getting one for workouts at home.
Your workout schedule sounds very well rounded and busy! How long have you been following that? Do you go to group classes or use videos? Are you a morning person or evening? I need to start trying to wake up early to help prepare for the 5AM PT, lol. I'm such a night owl, though.
I want to learn Korean the most since I've already studied Japanese for awhile and the structure is almost identical, but I am completely willing to learn whatever language they want me to. I know I can handle CAT IV languages, so I feel comfortable learning anything they need.
Are you doing anything special for Halloween? Any tips/tricks to surviving parties? Also, any other little things you do throughout the day like the bathroom trick to fit in a few moments of fitness?

Well, I haven't been truly consistent yet. This is my first week of trying to hunker down and DO IT. I've set 3 goals from the "Fast Break" thing: Don't eat in front of a screen, do 15 minutes of exercise when I'm watching TV, and journal three times a week. Other goals include attending a gym class once a week, drinking water till I burst, and logging in on SP every day to stay accountable, build a support base, and educate myself on just what the heck I'm doing, lol.
I'm reading this awesome book called The Skinny Rules by Bob Harper (from Biggest Loser) about nutrition and I really like the tips and information. I've been following some of them and lost three pounds before making my profile.
What I really need is strength training. Do you have any tips/tricks/things to avoid? What are you wanting to do in the Air Force? And I guess the silver lining to not losing is not gaining! Have you actively been attempting to lose? 2599 days ago
