LuvBug's Showdown to Slimdown
Update - June 30, 2008
On April 19, 2008, after a long day of 4-wheeling, my quad flipped on top of me, at a speed of about 15 - 20 miles per hour and broke my pelvis in 2 places.
As of 3 weeks ago, the bones have healed and I am only dealing w/the very angry, irritated and painful. Oh well though. At least I didn't break my neck, back or die.
I am back up to my original weight of WAY TO MUCH, but am going to try this again. Starting all over again but ...

I am back up to my original weight of WAY TO MUCH, but am going to try this again. Starting all over again but am going to start fresh w/a new user name ZeLuvBug2. I mine as well start over from the very beginning.
Update - February 25, 2008
I have totally fallen off the quit smoking wagon and the weightloss wagon. I've got to find my motivation again and soon, because I'm starting to feel yucky again. Unfortuanely, I've gained about 10-15 of my old pounds back. It just amazes me how easy it is to go back to my old ways. The weather is totally messing w/me lately. All of these dreary days start to get to me. We have been doing quite a bit of snowmobiling. Just got back from the beautiful U.P. in Michigan.
I'm still in school and ended up last semester w/an A-. Now I'm in accounting and just struggling along. I'm gonna get it though. Work has picked up and I'm still loving my job.
Went to Nashville, TN for my 10th anniversary w/my hubby and he got me a past, present, and future diamond ring w/an awesome watch. I got him a surprise that I won't elaborate on. It was cool though.
Update - April 16th, 2007
I'm STILL a quitter, but haven't been a loser in quite some time. At least I'm still a quitter. I haven't had a puff in over 40 days and I'm still going strong. I'm signing up for classes this week. I'm so excited about finishing my degree. About darn time, I know. I'm tellin ya, Sparkpeople has seriously put a spark under me. I'm losing weight. I've quit smoking. And now I'm going to finish getting my degree. Instead of getting a face lift. I've given myself a life lift. Woohoo. I really never, ever thought that I would've gotten this far. But now I feel like nothing can stop me. Now I've just got to get my food back under contol better. But I'll do it now that I've said it.
Update - March 7, 2007
I'm a Quitter and a Loser, but NOT a failure.
I've quit smoking!!!!!
Date quit: March 4th, 2007 at 3pm. I really am going to do this, this time. I'm done with that filthy habit. DONE, I TELL YA, DONE!!!
01/26/07 Update - I've been honored with being asked to be the team captain of the Spark-Ell's, which is my companies team. Woohoo! We're all going to be starting Monday, Jan. 29th. I'm very pleased with how many of my co-workers want to give this a try. I'm approximately down 37 pounds and my goal is to be at 150 lbs by March. Lord have mercy on me and my health and please bless all how jump on this journey with me. In Jesus Name. AMEN!!!
12/6/06 - Update
Life is good. Hubby is GREAT! He has been wonderful at supporting my changes and he's even changing a little in the food area and I don't think he really notices it.
My weightloss is maintaining at this point. I've been dealing with some stomach/health issues and am losing weight the unhealthy way. So, I'm not counting that loss. I am down another inch though and I achieved that the healthy way. I'm really loving this lifestyle change. I've never felt so in control of everything, like I do now.
Now, I'm trying to help others. My team is going nice and strong, and I've joined 2 more. They are GREAT too. I really couldn't have come this far without my teams and sparkpeople.com.
I am actively trying to get the tv stations to do a story about this site, but I haven't heard anything yet.
11/07/06 -Update
I am down 30 whole pounds off of my body! I just can't believe it!!!! My goal was to lose 15 pounds by November and LOOK!!!! I've lost double that!!! OMG!!! I am so happy and excited about continuing my lifestyle change journey. I am officially down to a size 12 and FEELING GREAT!!!!! I can't believe that when I started, I felt I was to far gone. I really didn't think that there was any way possible for me to lose weight and get myself back. Well, I'm half way there. I have about 20 more pounds to go and I'm excited about actually accomplishing that goal. I haven't felt this good about myself in years.
I now have a WONDERFUL team, called LuvBug's Losers! There are 36 crazy women on my team and they are always in for a good monthly challenge. I've even got my big Sissy on my team and she is now getting healthier along with me.
I am now in the Spread The Spark Stage and am doing it. I was honored to be chosen to be interviewed in my companies newsletter and have mentioned sparkpeople.com at least 3 times AND now my human resources wants me to put together a presentation to present to my co-workers. Now how exciting is that? I KNOW!! Way Exciting! THEN, next year, my team, LuvBug's Losers, is going to have our first annual "Reunion". I'm planning on having at least 1 news crew there to get my girls interviewed. They deserve to share their success, right along with me.
Thanks Sparkpeople.com and SparkGuy! You Rock!!!

I'm still 37 years old, married and from Michigan and have changed my goal weight from 150 to 140. My goal to is to wear a size 10 if not an 8, comfortably. My problem area is still my stomach and inside thighs. My measurements were 4 inches bigger than they are now, and I wasn't watching my food intake. With SparkPeople, I am now watching my food intake and feel that I have more support. I am so conscious about what I eat now that I can't believe it. I even use measuring cups now and again, as of Stage 2 anyways. I am doing this and am very happy to be a SparkPeople, person. I'm now in Stage 3 and am on a bigger roll than ever. I'm now looking forward to working out. I've even started my own team called "LuvBugs Losers". Sparkpeople.com Rocks!!!

My Goals:
New Goal as of December 2006: To lose at least 15lbs by March 2007. I want to be more motivated and active. I want to look almost as good as I did when I married my husband, 9 years ago. I want to wear very revealing outfits again because my husband loves that. But this is for ME. First thing I'm going to do for myself, in a very long time.
My Program:
When I make a plate, I make sure that I don't eat everything on it. I know, how wasteful, but I'm learning. I'm trying to workout at the gym at least 4 times a week. I'm going to do it right this time. No diet pills or funky diets this time. Going to do it the natural way and actually work hard and watch what I eat.
Personal Information:
I live in Michigan and will probably never live anywhere else. I am my own worst enemy. I am sick of being overweight and would like to live a longer, healthier life.
Other Information:
I love to read, (series Patricia Cornwell, Nora Roberts and I really like auto-biographies and biographies.) go snowmobiling, boating, playing horseshoes and socializing with our friends.
The successful person will profit from their mistakes and try again in a different way. "Dale Carnegie"
