I lost weight 3 years ago the old fashioned way, counting calories on Sparkpeople. I craved the entire time, then gained it back and then some. May 2, 2015 I started Trim Healthy Mama. As of today, May 15, I've lost a few pounds. More importantly, I've lost my cravings - even when I taste carb & fat ridden foods.

Update on May 8, 2016 - I lost 18 pounds while following THM principles over several months, fell off the bandwagon, but only gained 3 pounds back. Not bad. I'm back on the THM plan and plan to keep going.

Other goals I want to do at a lower weight:
Hike the Blue Beaver Trail up Lookout Mountain.
Spend a night at the Hike-Inn.
Swim with the manatees in FL.

May 2019 - The weight I lost in 2016, I've gained back. I'm working on weight loss again, and I've lost 10 pounds over 3 months, 5 in March, none in April, 5 in May. I really think 3 to 5 pounds a month is realistic for me.

Oct. 2019 - I've lost 23 pounds since March, average loss is 3 pounds in a month. I try to walk 20 minutes a day, mostly I do. And I do not stay perfectly on my plan.

My eating plan: Using the Sparkpeople suggested diet for my age, height & weight. Most lunches are a Premier Shake with a dark chocolate bar of 150 calories in the afternoon. Mostly avoiding processed foods, but no banned foods.

Right now, I'm striving to leave the obese category and get to the overweight category. At that time, I will re-evaluate my goal.

    Thanks for visiting my page and reading my blog. I appreciate your supportive comment. Thanks also for adding me as a friend. I have added you as well. I also had plantar fascitis and wore custom orthotics for years. I stopped wearing them when my feet lost so much fat that the orthotics did not feel right anymore. The orthotics eased the pain of the plantars fascitis and I was able to walk pain free albeit not very fast. Good luck on healing your plantar fascitis.
