Walk 5 Miles Per Week
I want to fit back into some of the fancy clothes I have and didn't have the heart to get rid of.
Like another member said, I want to shop for clothes in regular stores and out of the "women's section."
My Program:
I plan and track my food intake, staying as close as possible to SP recommended pie charts. It's frustrating when you can't have those yummy desserts and fried foods, but they are empty calories -- or should I say too full-caloried!
I am walking my neighborhood now on a daily basis for approximately 1.5 miles or 30+ minutes. I am so out of shape. Glad my spouse does it with me. I really enjoy the fresh air and checking out nature.
Even though I don't want to, I'm sticking with my doctor appointments, bloodwork, etc. on a regular basis.
Personal Information:
I'm female, happily married, have grown kids. Age is irrelevant -- just wish I felt younger than my age for once in my life -- maybe after a few months of exercise and proper eating.
My home is in the Western US, although my heart is in the Northwest.
I retired from nursing at an early age, and now I am really big into crafts -- I sell my wares at craft shows, and hope that I can get them up on-line this coming year. I'm not making millions yet, but I'm expecting too (like winning the lottery)!
I enjoy nature and living away from the bustling city life. As you can see, I love cats (and all other animals too), but I am petless as of now. I finally have furniture that isn't covered in hair nor scratched or bitten at every corner, and I have fewer dust bunnies under the bed than ever. It's been bitter sweet being a little selfish now.
Other Information:
I've had great success losing weight and tracking exercise here at SP. What I didn't have luck with was maintaining the weight loss. I've heard others say that maintaining is just as hard as doing the dirty deed. I'm here to get back into shape and continue my education on staying healthy. I love the interaction with other Spark Members.

Your addition, "Let's build a wall!," was so-o-o funny and tempting, but I couldn't get past the main subject. Many people love to go on and on about weather which, to me, is usually a great snore after the first 18 seconds.
