I LOVE Spark. I've been here for almost a year!! I enjoy the site, and am SO happy that I've FINALLY found a team that keeps me motivated! I've made my plan for January, and I've got some big goals that I'm determined to meet! I'm going to stick with it this time!

I work for a newspaper in the Accounting Department. It's REALLY stressful, and I'm disliking it more and more. We're going through a lot of cutbacks, and it seems that we lose someone every week. This just means more work for the people left behind. Unfortunately, the people left in the office LOVE to eat, and they are always bringing in tasty snacks to share. Health is not an issue for any of them.

I'm finally feeling like I'm going to make it to my goal. There are days that I don't think it will come soon enough, but at least now I know it WILL come! I'd like to have kids someday and I REALLY want to be healthy before I become pregnant, so that's another motivation for me to get rid of these excess pounds.

I'm SO excited to see so much of my family on here! It's another great motivator knowing that we're all working together on getting healthy! If we all help each other, we're sure to reach our goals!
March GOYAAM Plan:
*Elliptical 3 miles 3x/week
*30 day Shred 2x/week
*5 mile walk 1x/week
*DRINK MY WATER!!! I've been terrible about this!
*Track food more faithfully...I didn't lose a single pound in February, but I worked my tail off must be the food!

*My February was pretty active. I exercised all but 4 days...2 were sick days and 2 were just plain lazy days!
*I started training to walk a 1/2 marathon with my mom. We're doing it in October, so I have plenty of time, but I want to be good and ready!
*NO weight loss this's terribly frustrating! I have been exercising like crazy, but nothing...I'm going to have to take a closer look at my food, I guess, and see if I've been doing too much cheating! I'm hoping all that hard work will catch up with me in March!

I had a good January:
*I started the month weighing 185, and ended at 180!
*I'm proud to say that I stuck with the Bootcamp the entire month!
*I reached my cardio goal every week except the last week...for some reason I was worn out, and didn't accomplish more than the Bootcamp workouts during the last week.
*I exercised EVERY day in January except for 3 days...2 of those days I was sick!
*I drank my water EVERY day!

Fitness Minutes: 5,164

My Goals:
Eat at least 5 servings of fruit/veggies each day.

Try to eat every 4 hours so I'm not STARVING by the time dinner comes along!

EXERCISE!! Gone are the days that I can lose weight without working out! I lost 50 pounds a couple of years ago - I didn't do a minute of exercise. Now, if I don't do it, I stall my progress. UGG!

My Program:
Avoiding processed foods and white carbs (potatoes, bread and pasta). Adding whole grains to my day.


Exercising at least 30 minutes each day.

Other Information:
I LOVE to read...which is sometimes responsible for my lack of exercise.

Movies are a favorite...we don't make it out to the movies as much as I'd like, but we're always renting something.

I have 3 wonderful, monster dogs that I love. Sometimes I think if it weren't for them I wouldn't get ANY exercise!

    Hey there! My weekend was good, but unfortunately I kinda fell off the band wagon last week and didn't track any of my foods or exercise! AAHH!!! I also ate like a pig! I'm trying to pick myself back up and do well again! It's so hard to keep up the motivation sometimes!!! Hope all is well with you! Let me know how you're doing!

    I saw on the Huddle today that you needed support, so I thought I would drop by and tell you hello!

    Tell you what helped me is I joined a Buddy challenge and there are 10 women on my team. We have a list of items we do everyday to get points and get us motivated!

    A few weeks ago I wrote in my blog that I had lost all my motivation and I was so ready to quit again, but the buddies on my team came to my rescue and told me that I could do it just walk in place. I did that and then started walking with leslie and I have lost 10.5 pounds.

    Come to the PMS - Premenstrual Munchy Survivors team and see if the buddy challenge is something you want to do!!

    Welcome to sparkpeople and thanks for the comment. I am always looking for new friends for support and chat with. I just started sparkpeople about a week ago and I am down 3 pounds. I have started eating a lot healthier, I haven't really started working out very much other thank walking. I just got some workout DVDs so I hope I can get with a program that I like and can have fun with. Talk to you soon!
