Hello Everyone!! It has been a long time since I have been on SparkPeople, so I thought it would be a good opportunity to let you know some NEW stuff about me. I had some major life changes around 2013-2014, and then again in 2016. I went through a divorce from my second husband in 2013. Stayed working again, and was injured in a really bad fall the end of that year and went through injections and therapy for a while. Meanwhile I was trying to keep my faith strong, and work to support myself. Eventually the pain lessened and now as long as I don’t lift heavy items I’m fine. 😏 Around 2016 I remarried a nice fella, and am still happy with him. My own son made me a grandma four years ago. I still haven’t met the little guy, but he is adorable and I will see him someday. Being married brought along a few more grandchildren and my husband and I have started a small farm. It’s a lot of work, so you would think I am in great shape. But nooooo! I packed the weight back on. Remembering how much I enjoyed SparkPeople before I thought I’d give it a try again. So here I am- ready to begin again. Thanks for reading my brief version of the last few years.

Fitness Minutes: 13,637

My Goals:
Currently I want to get in shape and lose enough weight to be happy and healthy. I am trying new things for fitness fun. This Winter I will be trying Cross country skiing. Woo hoo!!! I went biking several times this last Summer and plan on continuing this routine.

Starting Weight: 225 in 2009. I decided to lose 10% at a time. This has been really successful for me so far. Not having to focus on all the weight at once.

Currently 193- 9/11/2011

Next goal: 178 (this will take me out of the official "obese" category).

Then on to 160:

Final goal: 144 (this is still up for consideration. I may go down more.

135? 130?



My Program:
I am trying to walk as much as possible right now. The weather will be changing soon, so I am going to try to modify my routine this year. I have snow shoes and spikes for my shoes. I am hoping to get out more with these advantages. I have the "dreadmill" for those days when getting outside will be impossible.

Strength training is another important aspect to my program. Currently I want to get my weight out of the obese category. I am just 14 pounds away from that.




Personal Information:
I am a green lovin', tree hugging, granola. I cast my vote for God's Kingdom to take place on Earth with my own public declaration in 1982. I am confident that He will come and destroy all of the wicked people who are destroying the Earth very soon. I am married to my second husband for 4 years now. I also have two adult children from my first marriage. We have 2 dogs of questionable lineage. :)


Other Information:
I enjoy reading, crocheting, walking, hiking, biking, and (hopefully) xc skiing. We will find out this Winter.

    Found your page from the Skiing team. Have you cross country skiied yet? I started a couple years ago, not easy when your used to downhill skiing. But I have to say, it's a lot easier going up hill than down hill. I wouldn't think so, but holy cow, no control going down! But I'm getting a little better, not really good but better.

    Hey, nice page! We had a little snow this morning, but it warmed up just enough to melt it. Now it is just cold and windy. I need to start wearing warmer stuff!
