Introduction Text Hi, I am a 45 yo mother to 2 children, a girl 14 and a boy 12. I have been overweight all of my life. I want to live and I am afraid that if I don't do somethng now, I will not live for very long at all. My children have only known an overweight mother and I want that to change. Back in 2007-2008, I lost 70 pounds on a low Carb diet, but, you guessed it, I gained it all back plus an additional 55 pounds. On 2/14/12, I had gastric bypass surgery. I know it was the best decision I have ever made regarding my health. Now I am just working my program and utilizing my "tool", pouch, and looking forward to a much healthier life and, yeah, a much better looking body!

I want to lose 163 pounds. That sounds so overwhelming, but I am going to set small goals. The first is 40 pounds by Sept. 28. My second is 70 pounds b

I have started walking at least 3 times weekly and I am using the glycemic index to help me in my food choices. The idea is to eat food items that are low on the glycemic index, this refers to carbs and calories. Basically it is eating only good carbs, lots of vegetables and the correct portions of protein.

I am originally from Lake Charles, LA. I moved to Kentucky 14 years ago because of employment. I love it here. The season changes are the most beautiful.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. All things work together for good to those who are the called according to His purpose. Nobody cares how much you know until they know how much you care.
