Hi again! Thanks for your comment on planting! I'm in Albany county NY, in hill country. By the almanac 1st frost Oct 5, last May 4 for city of Albany. In reality I can plant no earlier than Memorial Day & sometimes not until 2nd werk of June!

here in the midwest in Illinois we really don't have that option cottonwood trees seeds get blown everywhere by the wind and mulberry seeds get eaten then spread by the birds so they are everywhere!

I did sweat the first one off!! LOL I went into the office with it dangling on my fingers! They put another one on and they are now telling me there are a few issues not real serious... go figure!

just stopped in to wish you a marvellous Tuesday .. the sun is just peeking over the hill to the east of my house .. birds are singing ... the garden has been tilled for the first time .. strawberries and winter onions to lift and move to their permanent home .. the stinkers have gone willy nilly throughout the entire space .. nice deep rich soil .. I'm excited to get in there tonight .. tomatoes are doing well .. time to start setting them outside a bit each day to harden them up for the wind that blows almost every day ..
a full week of 8-4 for me this week .. then hopefully a full week off ... the mister is busy trimming and organizing in the back yard .. thats good keeps him out of trouble ... I'm thinking there are a lot of shrubs that have passed their prime because they were never trimmed .. potentilla times 6 ... I had them at the farm .. if you keep them trimmed they are awesome .. mine bloomed white .. yellow and pink .. I can't even remember if these fellas had leaves .. if they did it wasn't many .. so we will see if a little trim some fertilizer and water will bring them back to flourish ..
the four rhubarb plants are showing signs of coming up .. must tend to the raspberries tonight .. get them watered good and feed them some aged organic sheep manure ..
best create a crock pot evening meal if I plan on playing outside after work ..
I hope you have a delicious day .. totally awesome .. a day that is perfect in every way ..
Day 7 of no Happy Hour for me .. I'm feeling quite accomplished .. looking forward to a day filled with laughter ..
I had a horrid sleep .. tossed and turned ... dreamt I sold the cottage for 3 times what I have into it .. the people stopped by on a whim to ask if they could look .. next thing they are sleeping on he couch .. who has dreams like that .. lol .. I guess I do .. maybe its a sign that I should simply enjoy the paradise I have available here spring summer and fall then plan to escape winter for three months .. sounds like a plan to me .. perhaps you will have space for the motor home ..
the fella that checks the cottage and his wife stopped by for a visit last weekend ... he said they were approached by a total stranger if they wanted to sell .. he says our area (Good Birds Point ) is in huge demand .. well well .. thats nice to know I guess ..
to be honest with so much more work here .. still working at work then going to the cottage to work .. I am losing my sparkle ... we will see .. what will be will be .. I'm grateful to be so blessed .. wish you lived closer ..

well time to hit the water .. bless you my friend .. bless you indeed xoxo

Thanks dear Carol for stopping by my blog. I do know that all things happen for a reason. Sometimes we really don't LIKE the reasons but it is part of our life journey. I also say be careful what you wish for...there was a time many years back that I was totally overwhelmed with the big construction business and all of the obligations I was under to make that work. I remember waking up one day and thinking what total awesomeness it would be not to be responsible to anyone or for anything. Now...all of these many years later I might just be looking at that simple wish and seeing it come to fruitation. I think the biggest fear is of the unknown...I've never been entirely on my own....EVER! Got married and had my daughter at 17...right out of the parents house into a small place with my crazy jealous husband. With him 10 years, seperated but still responsible for Brandy as a working mother. Met Don and the minute divorce was final remarried him. Then our Josh 6 years later. Always, always taking care of someone...I really won't even know what to do with myself if I don't have someone to take care of...it will be mighty sad and completely surreal. But everyone deals with sadness and grief along the way...most have family to help them through the rough spots in life.

Since leaving those crazy self indulged people we hung with for some 30 years I do have maybe 3 close girlfriends that I know I can count on.

AND...all of my wonderful sparky friends...you included! emoticon
