    Everyone likes to say that Step 1 is signing up on SparkPeople, or your first workout. In reality, you've already taken Step 1, which is whatever it took to gear yourself up enough to log on and decide to make some changes.

    The truth is, it's going to be a series of sometimes rough battles. You're going to be fighting yourself hard when you see something you really want to eat, or you're tempted by other people to eat.

    Here's my secret: The VERY BEST exercise you can do is Push-Aways. Push Away the bad stuff! Push away your plate when you're full! Push away the negativity!

    "You don't become great by trying to be great. You become great by wanting to do something, and then doing it so hard that you become great in the process."

    Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog and for your encouraging comment. I do like to share some passage from my morning prayer or spiritual reading, and it encourages me when others find it helpful. I guess i feel that we need to encourage each other to grow in every way - spiritually as well as in a healthier life style.

    I'm adding you as a friend - I hope you don't mind. Hopefully we can encourage each other on our journey. I'm kind of stalled with my weight loss, so I need support and motivation to get back on track. But I know we can do it!!

    I know you're new to SP - it's a great site - lots of resources and lots of great people. Don't try to do everything all at once - pick one or two things you can really stick to - like tracking your food and committing to at least 15 minutes of exercise a day - more if you can. Then as you feel ready, you can add more.
