Introduction Text I am in this journey with my twin sister. We need to get healthier to take care of our children. I am also looking forward to reaching out to others in the sp community and not only gain support but lend it. God bless all of you. 12/17/12 I have lost about 30 lbs. so far and have about 25 or so to go. I have been struggling a bit lately but am looking forward to a new year and an opportunity to continue losing weight and getting healthier as the weight goes down and my energy goes up...trying to maintain a positive attitude and continue my attitude of gratitude.... 8/1/2011 Yay! I finally lost a pound. I am sooo excited because the numbers on the scale didn't show everything I am learning from sp. Patience paid off. On my way to a healthier me! WooHoo!! 8/7/2011 WooHoo! My one month Sparkversary!!! Yay I am down two pounds and gained about 50 in knowledge. Thanks to Sparkpeople I am aware of my errors and am able to make many better decisions in my life. Not only with food but in all aspects. Thank you Sparkpeople. ; ) 10/28/11 WooHoo!! My first ten pounds off. It took me a while but I am so proud of myself. I am finally believing that I can really succeed at sparkpeople. Thank you all for your support throughout my journey...I looove sp!

My goals are to eat healthier , lose weight, and learn how to enjoy the life God gave me. I want to learn to handle stress better and spread more joy. My ultimate long term goal is to overcome all of my medical conditions and obstacles and become an aerobics instructor. Good luck to all of you at Spark people!!

I started doing the elliptical machine following my doctor's orders. I can only work out about three times a week until further notice from doc. I will work my way up to zumba, just dance and other aerobic exercises I really enjoy. No strength training in my near future but that's okay..

I am marrried to my high school sweetheart. I have an 18 year old son with Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy and is a blessing in our lives. I have a twin sister and am blessed by her big family. I have multiple medical conditions as a result of brain surgery I had in march of 2009 and am still trying to fully recover physically and spiritually. I believe this is the perfect opportunity to do that. Reclaim my life and happiness. : )

I am learning about meditation and it really helps me deal with all of the stresses in my day to day life. I have also learned to be grateful for all that I have in my life. The good times and the not so great...I am blessed beyond words...
