My name is Anne Marie and I am a High School Special Education Teacher. After a long journey with infertility, I gave birth to beautiful and healthy faternal twins on June 7, 2013. It's been crazy since the twins arrived but I want to make a life style change that will influence my twins. I want them to see that by moving, and eating healthy you can be happy and healthy.

I really feel like Sparkpeople has helped me turn that corner that I needed. I tend to be a perfectionist and set HUGE goals for myself. When I don't reach them I use it as an excuse to tell myself that I am not good enough. No more thinking like that for me. What I have learned on this journey is that it is okay to fall off the wagon every now and then. It will still be there for the next meal, the next day, week etc. I am human and I need to set smaller goals for myself. If I don't make them in the time I have set that is okay today, just keep working on them. I get bored easily so I need to change things up with my eating and working out frequently. If I don't then I give up.

The most important lesson I have learned is that this really is a journey. Like all journey's there will be ups and downs and that is okay. I am learning to be less self-critical of myself and to start loving me for me!

My Goals:
1.) To lose one pound a month.
2.) To work out three to four times a week.
3.) To gain self-confidence.



My Program:
-Swimming twice to three times a week with one long swim (at least 30-40 minutes of continuous swimming)
-Running/Walking once to twice a week depending on the weather.
-Keeping healthy snacks around the house



Personal Information:
I am a wife to a fabulous husband named Ben. I am a Mother to beautiful Faternal Twins, Matthew and Adeline. I love to read, bake, drink wine, swim and spend time with my family.
