I am trying to stay motivated, constantly looking for new ways to challenge myself, fighting age and gravity, and trying to be the best I can be for my family and myself!

I am in the best shape of my life, but I want to be better and stronger! I want to keep learning how to eat healthier, get leaner, and if it works out, drop a few more pounds. But I am learning that I would rather be in my super strong, muscular 155lb body than to be a skinny stick! I love my body, except for the parts I don't :) So I'm working on those parts!

Finished round 3 of MTC 1/5/09--I didn't take measurements because I wasn't really watching my diet.
Starting over---again!! A new year and time to get serious again. Having some dietary downtime is always fun! But my body pays the price! So here we go in 2009!!

1/5/09 161lbs.
1/6/09 160.2 lbs. The sodium is leavin' my body!
1/7/09 159.4 .....and all the excess water weight with it
1/8/09 159.4 So now it is time to lose some real weight!
1/13/09 158.6 Slow and steady!
1/21/09 159.4 Too much birthday pizza and cupcakes!!

Okay--change of goals! I think I am going to be doing my first sprint triathlon in April!! I am terrified and excited! so I am going to quit worrying about weight loss and start focusing on training and nourishing my body for said training! Already the change of focus is refreshing for me! It feels great to be working for a more tangible goal than the elusive last 5-8 lbs! So here I go on the great adventure--300yd swim, 13.8 mile bike, 3.1mile run!

My Goals:
To work hard, feel great, and be proud of myself. To model healthy living for my kids.

My Program:
Currently training for my first sprint triathlon--so I'm swimming, cycling, running, and strength training. Oh and still kickboxing, because I'm a total addict! I work out 5-6 days a week, and am probably eating 1700-2000 cals a day now to fuel my training. I haven't stepped on a scale in weeks! Woohoo!
