If you do branch out with more garden--I highly recommend Square Foot Gardening--it is truly the lowest maintenance gardening method out there.

The private cocktail party sounds so fun. We did a lot of events like that when we lived on the east coast--I so miss the arts and NYC. Your plan of going for the shrimp sounds perfect--enjoy and please blog about your night so that I can live vicariously.

Fish is ABSOLUTELY allowed on LCHF. I'm not a huge fish fan, but I'll eat cod without complaining. As far as no-no's go, staying away from all processed foods with added sugars, as well as high-carb foods (pasta, bread, baked goods) and certain veggies is advised. If it grows below the ground (think potatoes), it's naturally a lot higher in carbs and will counter-act the low carb effort. That's not to say you can never have those things, it just discourages you from having them every single day! Special events like birthdays, holidays, and celebrations are the right time to enjoy them, guilt-free! I'm trying to be very strict these first few weeks to help get over any cravings and break habits. We have a big vacation coming up in April and you better believe I'll be having a few sweet treats and some carbs.
