This is my sweet senior rescue dog, Winnie! He keeps me motivated to stay active because he deserves the best! Adopt, don't shop! Senior dogs are great cuddlers and Winnie still has tons of energy. We rescued each other :)

My dad passed away August 1, 2020 and it reignited the fire in me to be kinder to myself and take care of me after neglecting to do so for many years. My long-term goal is to lose weight and get in shape to be able to hike Torres del Paine in Patagonia in honor of my dad.

My Goals:
My List of Reasons for Losing the Weight and Getting in Shape


My physical health: I do not want to die of an obesity-related illness. Obesity can increase one's risk for cancer, heart disease, diabetes, etc. I need to protect my health so I don't suffer down the line.

My mental health: good physical health positively impacts my mental health, and with everything going on in my life right now, I need to bolster this as much as possible.

My energy level: to have the strength to get through everything I have going on, I need to be on top of my game! Eating well and exercising helps me feel better and get more done.

Confidence: I need more confidence when meeting new people, especially in professional settings. Feeling good inside and having confidence in the way I look will positively project outwards and attract success.

Living life to the fullest: I've been on the sidelines of life for a while because of my weight. Not having energy, not feeling confident, or simply not


My Program:
I'm focusing on mostly clean eating, reducing sodium where I can, increasing my vegetable consumption and limiting beef and pork. I'm a huge meat eater but I try to go meatless at least one day a week, ideally more often. I try to track most of my meals on SP. I use both Sun Basket and Daily Harvest meal delivery services to help me stick to my nutrition goals and I definitely recommend them!

I keep track of my activity with my Apple watch and have fun staying active with Wii video games, a perfect solution for when it's not safe to be out and about around other people in the gym.



Personal Information:
It's just me and my dog at my house right now and we have been quarantining pretty seriously since March because of my immunocompromised mom. Winnie, my pup, gives me so much joy and makes staying in bearable. I try to be really active on Spark because I'm pretty isolated right now as I work from home too.

I love to travel and learn about other cultures. I've been to 5 continents and am currently enjoying learning more about Latin America. Planning my fantasy #treatmyself, post-pandemic vacation is what's getting me through quarantine at the moment.
