Here I am again. Spark people worked for me in the past. I don't know why I disconnect and get lost. I love the blogs, the challenges and friends made here. I was on this site 6 years looking to lose some weight. Now I am 40 yrs old and gained even more weight and just need to refocus. I can't let this keep going.

My mini goals 5lbs a month.

Going to give this another try. I know I can do this. I just need to find the motivation I guess. So let's do this!!

My Goals:
To feel comfortable again. I would like to lose 100 lbs. But my goal right now is to lose 50lbs. That would be nice.

Run a 5k or at least part of one. I don't run at all.





My Program:
*Update* I am now a stay at home mom so i have no excuse not to work out. I want to leave this info here because this did work for me. I will keep it here as a reminder.

I started drinking a lot of water. I also count calories concentrate on portion control. I read the labels on packages and eat the portion size.

I started walking at work I walk 1 mile on my first break and another on my last break. I try and squeeze 1 or 2 more miles during lunch. I started a virtual walk. I chose a destination that I've been wanting to go like Sea World and I googled walking distance. So I walk daily and when I reach that mileage I will take a trip to Sea World as my reward.
Rewards! Definitely reward yourself for the little stuff too. For every 5lbs I reward myself.

*To wear a size 18

*To wear a size 16

1) Journal at least 1 day a week.
2) Workout during my lunch hour.
3) Drink 8 cups

    Congrats on losing your first pound! A great reason to be proud of yourself this week. You're off to a wonderful start, and you're doing it the right way. A pound week is, in my opinion, such a sensible way to lose weight. Lose it slow and you'll keep it off. Hope you have a reward in mind for when those first 10 pounds come off. That will be a day I'll celebrate with you! I'm not sure what your weigh in days are, but I'll be keeping up with your page to track your progress.

    Hey Veronica I feel your pain in your intro. I myself have a large amount to lose and I am doing it one day at a time some are easier than others and some I know I can do better. But
    the more you are able to realize that the easier and more often the good days flow. I have been going pretty strong for a while now and I wish the same for you! Good luck!

    Hi Veronica. Good for you for not giving up. You can reach your goal, and you can keep it off, too. You have so much going for you - youth and determination are great assets. Stay focused on your goal and celebrate your progress frequently (not with food!) Me? I always celebrated with a new outfit every 10 pounds (I'm short. At just 5'3", every 10 pounds meant another size down).
