Hi, I'm Diana, a new member here. Naturally I'm not very athletic, but there was a stage in my life when I was furious and motivated to get fit, and it worked for quite a couple of years. Now after a lot of stress in my life caused by grad school and moving cross countries I neglected myself and reached my heaviest weight ever. The new decade has brought the "enough is enough" moment, and I'm willing to get back in shape.

Fitness Minutes: 537

My Goals:
Start: 02 Jan 2020, I'm 99 kg (that's 218 lbs for you folks across the ocean) at 177 cm tall (5'10''), 43% body fat.
My goal is to lose 30 kg by the end of May 2020.

Week 2. 15 Jan 20: progressing pretty much as during the previous week, one day was very nasty with a lot of temptations but I did well. I'm feeling stronger and more resilient during the exercise. -3 kg/-2% fat from start
Week 1. 09 Jan 20: success in sticking to the plan! I'm tracking what I eat, avoiding sweets, junk food and beers, and doing my strength training. -1.5 kg/-1% fat (with some fluctuations due to water retention), pants become looser, I'm feeling more energized. So far so good!


My Program:
While I'm above 35% body fat:
- fitness aim: to work out at least 3 times a week, at least 30 min, at any intensity - for cementing the habit;
- to eliminate sweets from the shop: I'm horrible at it and think that this is one of the main factors of my weight gain;
- to reduce my alcohol consumption to not more than 0.5L beer weekly.



Personal Information:
I'm 28 years old, doing my PhD studies at their final stage (hopefully! I'm so full of it lol). Currently I live in the EU, originally coming from an Eastern European country. I'm a bit shy to post my photos here, but I'll keep updating the stats in numbers - it could be helpful to objectively track whether I'm making any progress or only slacking it off on the sofa.
