Greetings!

I have a long ways to go to reach my goal - somedays I wonder "why bother" then I have trouble tying my shoe and remember :)

I'll be as honest here as I can be with myself. I think that is one of my challenges... being honest with myself about my current physical state. I find myself avoiding cameras, avoiding shopping, avoiding trips... avoiding myself.

So on here I shall try to be my own best friend - giving myself honest, gentle feedback about the truth of my condition.

I saw my reflection in the bank window and took a double take "Who is THAT?" I don't recognize myself anymore. The picture in my mind does not match the form I now inhabit.

You'll find I ramble and question and talk to myself through my blog and postings.... my way of "talking things out" I suppose. Feel free to join my ramblings.

My Goals:
Weight 125

Strength - strong enough to load next years hay without taking a break after every bale.

Attitude - appreciate the journey.

Sport - Take up a sport for some good natured competition!


My Program:
My program has changed this year - due to the way I metabolize food, I've been advised by a doctor to take my calories lower than the normal (1200-1500). I'm taking supliments and eating a high protein diet - while keeping calories low.

Instead of a set exercise program, I'm focusing on eating a very nutritous diet and just staying active - no couch potato lounging.

This new program started 3-9-07.

Horses are my passion - My desire is to once again ride with the wind.

    Lifting weights isn't much different than lifting bales of hay! It's just the nutrition that needs fixing, right?
