Introduction Text South Sound Slimdown, a free weight loss support group, meets every Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m. in Rainier (near Olympia, WA). We lose weight at a healthy, comfortable pace, with each person following their own plan. Most of us are using SparkPeople tools. At meetings, we talk about changes we’re making, share results, and help one another stay motivated. Come visit us and see if our group is right for you!

My ultimate "reward" goal: Over two decades ago, I stood on Oprah's stage and told a story wearing a size 10 suit. Gradually I gained weight up to size 22/24. I would love to go back on Oprah wearing that same suit!

I'm making small, gradual changes to my eating...drinking lots of water...meeting every Sunday with the South Sound Slimdown support group in Rainier...and using the SP Nutrition Tracker faithfully. I'll add walking and using my Gazelle once a temporary physical challenge is resolved, which will be soon. I need to get back to weight training...my gym lacks air conditioning and I haven't been there much this summer. I'm looking for another gym in the Yelm/Rainier area.

Career: I'm a professional nonfiction book editor and proofreader. I also supply free Kangen water so that people in the U.S. can experience the health benefits that are so well-known in Japan.
