With everything that's been going on lately (the change to a vegan lifestyle, the death, and life in general) I haven't been tracking my food. There were a couple of days that I thought were really bad. We were at the hospice house a couple of days and we had to snack around on what was in the kitchen. There were a few decent choices but some not so good ones too. I really expected to maintain or gain a pound or two. But I ended up breaking through the plateau and am almost under 230 now. That's something I've been working on for a while.
I think I'm finally at the point where I can safely quit tracking my food every day. I will still be here, I'm just not going to list all of my food and exercise, at least not for now. Going vegan has made a huge difference for me. I wouldn't tell everyone they have to do it to succeed, but it's working for me.
From here it's just a matter of getting the last few pounds off and learning to maintain a healthy weight. With the changes we've made I don't think it will be a problem. I just need to learn how to eat right to get everything I need nutritionally while working out and being active.
