The Power of Prayer

Hello all! First of all, thanks for caring enough to want to read what is on my heart! You are all amazing! That said, now I want to tell you how amazing our God is!
I read an entire thread this morning on our Prayer Warrior team. It started before I had joined and the first prayer need was for Kat. She had found out about her liver condition. When I read all the prayers that had been brought before the Lord, well, it truly blessed my heart. Then I realized I needed to share what happened a church last night.
I have been given the gift of a loving and prayerful church. We have been going for about 3 years now. On Wednesday nights we have Bible study. So it's pretty informal, we have it in the sanctuary all together. Pastor reads from the Word and then he teaches and asks if we have questions.
Toward the end, a lady, who is a new believer, asked a question about depression. She asked if it was real. He told her it was very real and asked all who have been under the spirit of depression at one time or another to raise thier hands. Well, we are a very honest church and I will say about 1/3 of us raised our hands. Pastor even said that the spirit of depression comes at him often. He just calls on the Lord and He takes care of it for him! He then instructed her to call someone that she knows that loves the Lord and ask for them to pray for her. Then he asked if anyone had ever had someone pray them through in a time of need. Well, this same lady had been to a women's fellowship lunch the Sat. before. I was there also. At the end of lunch we had prayer. It was asked if anyone had a prayer request and she spoke up and said she had a mass on her breast and needed prayer. 40 women gathered all around her and laid hands on her and prayed for her. Last night she told us that her test came back clear. Praise God! For a new believer to experience such power and might from her Father is a mighty thing!
So, when I was reading all the prayers for Kat, it was laid upon my heart that she was going to be fine. God is going to be glorified in this situation. I know she will be healed just like the lady at my church. Then I pictured all of you spiritually laying hands on Kat. Your prayers for her are a sweet aroma that filled his nostrils and permiated his heart. He will answer them!
There is so much more I could share with you all, but I don't want to wear you out, so I'll save it for another day!
You are all such a blessing to me!
