Starting over... yet AGAIN

Sunday, March 09, 2008

So I'm at my highest weight ever... Ok not really. Jan 1st I was 223 pounds, now my ticker is at 213, but after the way I ate today it may well be at 215 again. We shall see. I am rejoining spark because I am sick of paying money to fail, and I decided that if I can do this I'm going to do it right. No more diet fads, I'm going to actually count calories and MOVE IT!! I'm hoping to get down to 150. That would be my ultimate goal. Right now I'm setting a smaller goal of getting down below 200 by summertime. I think that is doable, and I can't wait to get started. It is too late to start exercising now (I'll never get to sleep!) but I am jumping back on the treadmill tomorrow (literally!). My friend was kind enough to sell me her old iPod for cheap so now I have no more excuses for being "bored" on the treadmill. I can DO it!!

I welcome any comments, questions, snyde remarks...

God bless and happy sparking!

I am so glad I read your blog. I feel the EXACT same way about paying to fail. Thanks, too, for starting the deployment thread. I enjoyed reading it. I don't have a deployed husband, he's retired now. But my best friend's husband is overseas with the Marines, and her daughter went through a 15 month deployment with her hubby. Anyway, I enjoy your page and hope you haven't given up! Looking forward to more blogs...

Woo-hoo! Glad you're back! Sometimes when it comes to getting healthier, it takes more than one 'kick at the can'. Here's to getting this one to 'stick'. Good luck to you! You might want to try with the fast break system as you re-start. Get those little changes to be habits before you add more things on. Small things done consistently is the way to a healthy lifestyle. cj

Getting the momentum going is the hardest part for me. I hope that you can get started. Even one little healthy thing that gets done each day is something to celebrate. Good luck to you and to me!
