Procrastination

Friday, March 21, 2008

Procrastination is a thief of God's blessings for your life. Procrastination will rob you of what you can truly become in life. It is a form of laziness. Always putting off something, saying that it can wait until tomorrow, knowing full well that you could of acomplished it today. Instead of planning for the future, you may say. "whats the use". "Tomorrow is not promised to me anyway". You then get that I don't care attitude. Your life then begins to treat you just like your negative attitude dictates to you.

It is time to wake up! Wake up out of that state of Procrastination. For it is robbing you of Gods blessings for your life. You are allowing the devil to kill, steal, and destroy every gift that the Lord placed down on the inside of you because you just want to be lazy and not pursue what God has purposed for you to acccomplish in him. Please don't allow the devil to hold you back! Don't let him steal your goals and dreams! Philippians 4:13 says that I can do all things through christ tha t strengthens me. You through christ can do that which seems impossible. You can do anything that you purpose in your heart to achieve.

Just stay focused on the task and become an overcomer over procrastination. Become a winner, don't quit at the first try. But keep on tring until you have succeeded. Fight the good fight of faith. Keep the victory. For you are more than a conqueror.

Give the devil a swift kick in the rear end. Let your talents and abilities soar to the highest mountain. Stop Procrastinating. Begin to soar like the eagle. God wants your destiny to be a sweet victory. Fight, conquer, and win the war of Procrastination.

IT IS A THEF OF MANY BLESSINGS. INCLUDING OUR HEALTH. STAY FOCUSED ON OUR GOALS AND DREAMS AND WATCH THEM COME TO PASS.

It is wonderful that you have lost 19#. I know that you can lose FIVE POUNDS, 18 more times!
I hope you are able to relax and be aware of your health and love of yourself. I hope you take time during the day to give to yourself. Often we get so involved in listening to the negative self-criticism that we don't need to go anywhere to find someone to abuse us, because we do that job so well ourselves. Spend time in quiet time. You have strength inside to reach any goal. Nurture yourself with positive thoughts.
    Happy Easter.

Thankyou! You have found some very good points. I struggle withthis cuz I hate to plan. I also like the response of EMMASMAR, that we have to live in the moment with God!!

Procrastination is impossible if you are living in the Moment. (God is in the now - that's where he talks to us) How can you put something off if you are living in the now? Right?

Donna. Thank you for the reminder. I am a procrastinator. I battle with it daily. However, I have asked the Lord to help me overcome it. Slowly I am becoming more organized and less lazy. Your post just reminded me that it is something that I must continue to work on. Thanks.

Donna, you're right. Procrastination IS a thief. It comes in many forms, too. Sometimes our fear of failure takes over and we use that as an excuse to wait. "There's always tomorrow" is the poorest excuse on record, yet I've used it many times.

God came to give life and life more ABUNDANTLY. I love that if we're willing, He is able to give us that extra little jumpstart we need to get going and keep going!
